fa نگاهی به جایگاه پزشکان در ایران باستان و قانون حمورابی تاریخ پزشکی History of Medicine مروری Review در یکی از قدیمی‌ترین قوانین - قانون حمورابی- که در حوزه‌ی پزشکی وجود دارد در مورد وظایف و مسؤولیت‌های پزشک سخن رانده، و در برابر سهل انگاری‌های وی مجازات‌های سنگینی در نظر گرفته است. البته در کتب دینی بر طبق ضرورت به این مهم پرداخته شده است. در این میان اوستا به پزشک و وظایفی که بر عهده دارد توجه خاص داشته به‌گونه‌ای که یکی از منابع الهام قوانین پزشکی آن زمان بوده است. در آن‌جا بیان شده که طبیب از طبقه‌ی روحانی انتخاب می‌گشته، و جراح باید سه مرتبه بر روی غیرزرتشتی مؤمن به اهورا مزدا عمل نماید، اگر این سه عمل توفیق نیافت دیگر حق جراحی و درمان ندارد. اما اگر کامیاب گردید می‌تواند بدون ترس بر روی پیروان اهورامزدا عمل جراحی نماید. در این مقاله برآن هستیم تا با واکاوی متون کهن ایرانی، به بیان قوانین و مسائل اخلاقی که در آن زمان برای پزشک رایج بوده و حقوق و تکالیف وی بپردازیم. One of the oldest codes - Hammurabi's Code - available in the field of medicine contains descriptions of the duties of physicians and heavy penalties for their neglect. Albeit, religious books have pointed out these issues as needed. Among these, the text of Avesta pays particular attention to physicians and their duties, and was one of the sources of inspiration for medical laws at its time. In the text, it is stated that physicians were selected from members of the clergy, and surgeons had to perform three surgeries on non-Zoroastrians who believed in Ahura Mazda. If this requirement was not achieved, they would lose their right to surgery or practice, but if successful, they could operate on the followers of Ahura Mazda without fear.
