fa بررسی میزان آگاهی و عملکرد والدین کودکان 9-3 ساله مراجعه کننده به دانشکده دندانپزشکی اهواز از اهمیت حفظ دندان‌های شیری کودکان عمومی general تحقیقی Research <div style="text-align: justify;"><strong>زمینه و هدف:</strong> با توجه به نقش دندان‌های شیری در سلامت کودکان و اهمیت نقش والدین در سلامت دندان‌های شیری هدف از این مطالعه بررسی میزان آگاهی و عملکرد والدین کودکان ۳-۹ ساله از اهمیت حفظ دندان‌های شیری کودکانشان، بود.<br> <strong>روش بررسی:</strong> در این مطالعه مقطعی توصیفی- تحلیلی والدین مراجعه کننده به بخش کودکان دانشکده دندانپزشکی اهواز در سال ۱۳۹۶ مورد بررسی قرار گرفتند. با استفاده از یک پرسشنامه، اطلاعات دموگرافیک شرکت کنندگان و آگاهی و عملکرد آ‌ن‌ها در مورد اهمیت حفظ دندان‌های شیری جمع آوری گردید. پاسخ‌های صحیح بر حسب درصد به عنوان سطح آگاهی و همچنین عملکرد در نظر گرفته شد. داده‌ها با استفاده از آزمون مربع کای و ضریب همبستگی اسپیرمن و پیرسون و آزمون، &nbsp;Tمستقل، جهت تعیین ارتباط بین آگاهی شرکت کنندگان و عملکرد آن‌ها و متغیرهای دموگرافیک تجزیه و تحلیل شد. سطح معنی‌دار 05/0>P در نظر گرفته شد.<br> <strong>یافته‌ها: </strong>تعداد ۱۷۶ نفر از والدین، پرسشنامه‌ها را تکمیل کردند. میانگین آگاهی والدین ۴۵/7&plusmn;42/57 (نمره دهی از ۱۵-۷۵) و میانگین عملکرد 86/1&plusmn;42/9 (نمره دهی از ۴- ۱۲) بود. رابطه‌ای میان سن و جنس والدین با آگاهی و عملکرد دیده نشد. آگاهی والدین دارای سابقه مراجعه به دندانپزشک، تعداد فرزندان کمتر (428/-0r=)، تحصیلات بالاتر، (490/0rs=) و درآمد بیشتر (226/0r=) به طور معنی‌داری بیشتر بود (001/0>P) همچنین با افزایش میزان آگاهی والدین عملکرد بهبود می‌یافت (549/0r=) (001/0>P). عملکرد والدین نیز به طور معنی‌داری با سابقه مراجعه به دندانپزشک، تعداد فرزندان کمتر (320/0-r=)، تحصیلات بالاتر (369/0rs=) (001/0>P) و درآمد بیشتر (253/0r=) (01/0>P) در ارتباط بود.<br> <strong>نتیجه‌گیری:</strong> مطالعه ما آگاهی و عملکرد متوسط والدین را در زمینه اهمیت دندان‌های شیری نشان داد. با توجه به نقش دندان‌های شیری در سلامت کودکان و مسئولیت والدین در پیشگیری و درمان کودکان، بالا بردن سطح آگاهی و به دنبال آن بهبود عملکرد آنان در خصوص اهمیت دندان‌های شیری ضرورت دارد.</div> <div style="text-align: justify;"><br> <strong>Background and Aims:</strong> Considering the role of primary teeth in children&#39;s dental health and the importance of parental role on children dental health the purpose of this study was to determine the knowledge and practice of parents of 3-9 year-old children regarding to maintaining primary teeth.<br> <strong>Materials and Methods:</strong> This cross-sectional descriptive-analytical study was conducted on the parents referring to Ahwaz dental school in 2017. Using a questionnaire, the participants&#39; demographic characteristics, knowledge and performance regarding maintaining of the primary molars were collected. The percentage of correct responses was considered as the level of knowledge and performance. Analysis of K-square and Spearman and Pearson correlation coefficient and T-test were employed to determine the relationship between the participants&#39; knowledge and performance and their demographic variables. The significance level was P<0.05.<br> <strong>Results: </strong>176 parents completed the questionnaire. The mean parental knowledge score was 57.42&plusmn;7.45<br> (range 15-75), and the mean practice score was, 9.42&plusmn;1.86 (range 4-12). No relationship was found between the parents&rsquo; age, sex, knowledge, and performance. The knowledge of parents who had a history of referral to the dentist, fewer children (rs=0.428), higher education (rs=0.490) and higher income (r=0.226) was significantly better (P<0.001). Also practice increases with higher awareness of parents (r=0.549) (P<0.001). The parents&rsquo; practice was significantly related to the history of referral to the dentist, and having fewer children (rs=0.320), higher education (rs=0.369), and higher income (r=0.253) (P<0.01).<br> <strong>Conclusion: </strong>The findings of this study showed that the knowledge and practice of the parents about primary teeth were moderate.
