Journal of Modern Rehabilitation publishes articles relating to both clinical and basic science aspects of rehabilitation medicine in form of full-length paper, short communications, letter to editor, and reviews. It aims to be a wide forum for different areas of research in rehabilitation medicine, including functional assessment and intervention studies, clinical studies in various patient groups, papers on methodology in physical and rehabilitation medicine, epidemiological studies on disabling conditions and reports on vocational and sociomedical aspects of rehabilitation.

Peer review process

 Modern Rehabilitation, all manuscripts are considered confidential. They are peer-reviewed by at least 2 anonymous reviewers selected by the Editorial Board (section editor). The corresponding author will be notified of the editor’s decision regarding acceptance or rejection of the manuscript or requiring modifications. An accepted manuscript is scheduled for publication in the next upcoming issue(s). 

Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Article-processing charges
Authors do not need to pay an article-processing charge. Also Modern Rehabilitation have not article submission and publishing charges.
Copyright and Permissions
Modern Rehabilitation allow the author(s) to hold the copyright without restrictions. Also the journal allow the author(s) to retain publishing rights without restrictions.
Ethical guidelines
Modern Rehabilitation policy regarding suspected scientific misconduct including plagiarism, fabricated data, falsification, and redundancy is based on the guidelines on good publication practice of the "Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)". The complete guidelines appear on COPE website: http://www.publicationethics.org.uk.
When the “Modern Rehabilitation” faces suspected cases of research and publication misconduct such as redundant (duplicate) publication, plagiarism, fraudulent or fabricated data, changes in authorship, undisclosed conflict of interest, ethical problem with a submitted manuscript, a reviewer who has appropriated an author’s idea or data, complaints against editors, and etc., the resolving process will be followed by flowchart provided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (http://publicationethics.org/resources/flowcharts). The discussion and decision on the suspected cases are done by Editorial Board.
