Abstract
Background & Aim: Caregivers of elderly with Alzheimer&aposs disease, particularly females, encounter challenges. Their different roles in giving care to the patients could result in physical and mental disorders. The self-efficacy seems to be an essential factor in empowering individuals coping with stressful situations and challenging tasks. The aim of this study was to investigate general self-efficacy among women as family caregivers of elderly with Alzheimer&aposs disease.
Methods & Materials: In this cross-sectional descriptive study, 112 women reffered to the Iran Alzheimer Association, Tehran were selected through convenience sampling method. The General Self-Efficacy Scale (GSE-10) was used to collect data. Data were entered into the SPSS-16 and then processed using descriptive statistics and independent t-test, ANOVA and Scheffe.
Results: The mean score of the general self-efficacy was 28.24±6.34 indicating that considerable percentage of the participants had unsatisfactory level of self-efficacy (65.2%). In addition, there were significant relationships between the women&aposs general self-efficacy with educational and economic statuses (P<0.05). There were no significant relationships between general self-efficacy with age, marital status, occupational status and duration of caring.
Conclusion: According to the findings, a considerable percentage of the participants had unsatisfactory level of self-efficacy. Therefore, it is essential to promote the caregivers self-efficacy in order to give them the ability of better adaptation with the life&aposs challenges. In particular, the self-efficacy promotive programs should be implemented among caregivers with lower educational and economic status.

Abstract
Background & Aim: Nurses play an important role in the health system and their turnover disrupts its performance. The aim of this study was to investigate intention to turnover and its relationship with healthy work environment among nursing staff.
Methods & Materials: This cross-sectional study was conducted on 295 nursing staff from Imam Khomeini hospital complex in Tehran in 2016. Nurses were selected by the stratified random sampling with a proportional allocation, and completed a demographic data form, the Healthy Work Environment questionnaire and the Anticipated Turnover Scale (ATS). Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson/Spearman correlation coefficient and multiple linear regression tests using the SPSS software version 20.
Results: The mean score for the intention to turnover was 36.21 (SD=4.38) ranged from 12 to 60. “Authentic leadership” and “skilled communication” domains obtained the highest (9.60±3) and lowest (8.97±2.74) scores respectively. There was poor correlation between the meaningful recognition domain and the anticipated turnover score (r=-0.135, P=0.024). In addition, the anticipated turnover score was significantly higher in male nurses than in female nurses (P=0.023).
Conclusion: Although there was no relationship between anticipated turnover and healthy work environment in this study, considering the importance of nurses’ recruitment and retention, there is a need to investigate the reasons for turnover, including characteristics of work environment, and take necessary measures.

Abstract
Background & Aim: Pressure ulcers pose a serious and anticipated challenge within the health system. The present study aimed to determine the incidence of pressure ulcer and associated factors among children and newborns.
Methods & Materials: In this cohort study a sample size of 1025 children aged 0 to 14 years hospitalized in two medical training centers affiliated with Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences, were included. The sampling method employed was convenience sampling, conducted between March and July 2022. The data collection tools utilized in this study included a demographic information questionnaire, the Glasgow Coma Scale, National Pressure Ulcer Counseling Association classification, and Braden Q Scale. The data was analyzed using both univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses.
Results: The incidence rate of pressure ulcers was found to be 4.97% (51 people). In terms of severity, the majority of pressure ulcers were categorized as first grade, accounting for 82.14% (46 people), with the hand area being the most frequently affected site of ulceration, representing 35.71% (20 people). The factors exhibited a significantly higher relative risk of pressure ulcers in children and infants included consciousness level of less than 14 (RR=6.07, 2.90-12.73: 95%CI), hospitalization duration of more than five days (RR=1.08, 1.05-1.12: 95%CI), presence of respiratory problems (RR=2.17, 1.19-3.94: 95%CI), immobility (RR=6.46, 3.44-12.13: 95% CI), utilization of NCPAP mask (RR=1.11, 1.05-1.18: 95% CI), and pulse oximeter (RR=6.07, 1.03-1.10: 95% CI). In the multivariate analysis, hospitalization duration of more than five days (RR=4.89, 2.29-10.40: 95% CI, P<0.001) and immobility (RR=2.49, 1.29-6.29: 95% CI, P=0.01) were found to be significantly associated with an increased risk of pressure ulcers.
Conclusion: The incidence rate of pressure ulcers observed in the present study was relatively low, measuring below 5%. Notably, prolonged hospitalization duration and immobility were identified as the most important risk factors contributing to the development of pressure ulcers among children and infants. Moreover, the utilization of specific medical devices, especially angiocaths and NCPAP masks, as well as the presence of respiratory diseases emerged as additional significant factors associated with the occurrence of pressure ulcers.

Abstract
Background & Aim: Intramuscular injections represent a painful procedure for premature infants. This study aimed to compare the effects of pressure massage at Hegu point versus Kunlun–Taixi pressure points on pulse rate, arterial oxygen saturation, and crying duration following intramuscular injection of vitamin K in premature infants.
Methods & Materials: A randomized, single-blind clinical trial was conducted on 100 premature infants admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit between 2020 and 2021. Participants were selected through convenience sampling and then randomly assigned into four groups of 25 individuals each: Hegu point massage, Kunlun–Taixi points simultaneous massage, placebo and control. Prior to the vitamin K injection, the intervention groups received targeted pressure point massage, the placebo group received nasal tip massages, and the control group received standard care. Pulse rate, arterial oxygen saturation, and crying duration were recorded before, during and after the intramuscular injection using a pulse oximeter and chronometer. Data were analyzed using two-way repeated measures analysis of variance in SPSS software version 24.
Results: Significant differences were observed in average pulse rate (P=0.013) and average arterial oxygen saturation (P=0.028). The group receiving simultaneous massage at Kunlun–Taixi points exhibited the lowest mean pulse rates during (149.24±7.78) and after (144.16±8.64) the injection, as well as the highest mean arterial oxygen saturation percentages during (88.36±9.37) and after (88.04±8.33) the injection.
Conclusion: Simultaneous massage of Kunlun–Taixi pressure points reduced changes in pulse rate and arterial oxygen saturation induced by intramuscular injection in premature infants. It is recommended to use this simple and low-priced method to reduce the physiological responses to injection-related pain in premature newborns.

Abstract
Background & Aim: The evidence shows that prehypertension is related to an increased risk of cardiovascular complications. This study aims to determine the effect of lavender inhalation aromatherapy on systolic and diastolic blood pressure (SBP & DBP) in people with prehypertension in Isfahan.
Methods & Materials: This two-group quasi-experimental study was conducted in 2023, involving 70 prehypertensive patients selected from comprehensive health service centers in Isfahan. Participants were selected through convenience sampling and were randomly assigned to either the experimental or control group. The intervention included inhalation aromatherapy using two drops of 100% pure lavender essential oil for 20 minutes in a single session. Blood pressure measurements were taken before, immediately after, and 10 and 20 minutes post-intervention under standardized conditions. The control group received routine health center training. Data analysis was performed using SPSS software version 26, employing descriptive and inferential statistics, including repeated measures analysis of variance (RMA) and analysis of covariance (ANCOVA), with a significance level set at 0.05.
Results: The results of the RMA indicated a significant interaction between time and group for both SBP (P<0.001) and DBP (P<0.001). Also, the intergroup effect for SBP was significant (P<0.001), demonstrating that the intervention group experienced a significantly greater reduction in average SBP compared to the control group. Intra-group analysis revealed a significant decrease in SBP before and after aromatherapy in the intervention group (P<0.001). In contrast, the control group did not show a significant change (P=0.068). Unlike SBP, the intergroup analysis for DBP did not yield significant results (P=0.141).
Conclusion: Considering the rising trend of high blood pressure and its widespread complications, along with the positive effects of aromatherapy as a cost-effective and accessible intervention, lavender inhalation aromatherapy is recommended as a complementary treatment strategy in conjunction with other methods.
