Abstract

Background: Apelin increases insulin insensitivity but its correlation with exercise training has less been taken in to consideration. The aim of this paper was to evaluation the effect of combined (resistance, endurance) and endurance training on plasma Apelin and in insulin sensitivity.

Methods: Forty -five volunteered students of eligible (BMI: 25-30,Health and inactive) were randomly divided into three groups, combined, endurance and control.The trainedgroups were trained forfour days per week, during 12 weeks. In combined group, endurance interval training was performed fromfivereplication with three minutebeginningand in final weeks reached to thirteen replications of 3 minutes with resting time of 1 to 2minutes. Intensity was 60-80% HRmax and resistance training planning: 2days per week,7 stations(Boat,leg press,buttreflys, Knee extension and flexion, forearm flexion and extension) 8-12 replication, resting time between the intervals and sets consequently:  30-60 ,60-90 second . The endurance group was trained with the same endurance section of combined group. Pre and post weeks, plasma Apelin,glucose and lipid profiles were measured in groups. Data were analyzed by One Way - Anova,significant level was P&le0/05, using SPSS, ver 18.

Results:  Plasma Apelin decreased significantly compared with the control group (P=0/0001).In training groups, HDL-c had in the training group increased compared with the control group (P= o/o43). Insulin Insensitivity wasn't different   among groups (P&ge0/05).

Conclusion: This paper showed that 12 weeks of combined or Endurance training had significantly decreased plasma Apelin and both training groups had an increase in their HDL-c but all of the exchanges were free of insulin sensitivity.

Abstract

Background: Increasing blood glucose levels is associated with a reduction in the antioxidant defense of the body. The purpose of this study was to compare the effect of aerobic resistance exercises with and without ginger on some of the oxidative and antioxidant indices in type 2 diabetic women.
Methods: Twenty-two type 2 diabetic women with a mean age of 49.47±4.36 years, BMI 31.3±16.3 kg / m2, height 0.56±0.04 meters were selected randomly and they were divided into two experimental and control groups. Both groups performed 12 weeks, 3 sessions per week, exercises with intensity of 75-85%, 1RM in 8 stations, and after 5 minutes of rest, aerobic training exercises with an intensity of 75-85% of MHR. A daily group of 800 mg capsules of ginger rhizome powder and the other group consumed capsules containing wheat flour. 24 hours before and after training, MDA, TAC, SOD, GSH, HbAlc, glucose and insulin and body composition were measured.
Results: 12 weeks of combination exercise caused a significant decrease in glycosylated hemoglobin, insulin resistance, insulin resistance, lipid percentage, and a significant increase in TAC and GSH compared to baseline (P <0.05), while SOD and MDA Did not have any significant effect.
Conclusion: Combined exercise with and without zinc seems to improve antioxidant and some of the body composition indices in type 2 diabetic women.

Abstract

Background: The health and proper functioning of the endoplasmic reticulum in the liver can lead to an increase in the quality of the metabolism of liver cells. Exercise can lead to liver health by regulating liver enzymes and factors related to apoptosis pathway. Therefore, the aim of the current research is to compare the performance of the endoplasmic reticulum chaperone protein of the liver of healthy model rats with the intervention of different training sessions and starvation.
Methods: In this experimental research, 30 Wistar male rats with a weight range of 330 ± 25 grams were selected and divided into six groups: 1) control, 2) starvation, 3) 3 days of training per week, 4) 5 days of training per week, 5) starvation + 3 training days per week, 6) starvation + 5 training days per week. Training consisted of one hour of continuous running on a treadmill for 4 weeks, and starvation was performed for 14 hours when the rats were awake. Data analysis was performed using one-way analysis of variance and post hoc LSD statistical tests in SPSS version 23 software. A significance level of P≤ 0.05 was considered.
Results: Data analysis showed a significant change in the levels of liver enzymes alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate transaminase (AST) (P≤ 0.05). This change in CHOP gene expression was also significant (P≤ 0.05).
Conclusion: Aerobic training for 3 and 5 days with starvation can lead to liver health by reducing liver enzymes (AST and ALT) and cell death-related factor (CHOP) through the apoptosis pathway.
