Abstract
Background: Physiological stress may affect eating habits and also foods intake may alter the physiological stress. According to the reports of high levels of serum cortisol as a stress biomarker in type 2 diabetic patients the aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between dietary patterns and serum cortisol concentration in type 2 diabetic patents.
Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted on 241 type 2 diabetic patients in 2013. Major dietary patterns were obtained by factor analysis. Serum cortisol was measured at 8 am. Serum cortisol level was compared among tertiles of dietary patterns using ANCOVA adjusted for confounders (age, sex, BMI, and fasting blood glucose). Linear regression analysis was performed to assess the association between serum cortisol and scores of dietary patterns.
Results: Three major dietary patterns were identified as Western, healthy and healthy like. None of the variables age, waist circumference, body mass index, physical activity level, duration of diabetes and fasting blood glucose was significantly associated with serum cortisol. After adjustment for confounders, no statistically significant difference was found in mean serum cortisol among tertiles of dietary patterns or no statistically significant association between serum cortisol and dietary patterns scores. Mean serum cortisol was 12.95±5.10 nmol/L which was in normal range.
Conclusion: This study showed that in type 2 diabetic patients, normal levels of serum cortisol were not associated with the adherence to Western, Healthy and Healthy like dietary patterns.

Abstract
Background: Myokines released from skeletal muscle have multiple metabolic and hypertrophic effects. On the other hand, one of proposed pathways for effects of exercise training on metabolic diseases is calcineurin signaling pathway. With considering to relation between interleukin-6 (IL-6) and calcineurin, the purpose of this study was to investigate whether the resistance training has an effect on mRNA expression of IL-6 myokine and regulator of calcineurin 1(RCAN-1) in skeletal muscle of diabetic rats.
Methods: Thirty two Rats randomly were divided into the control, training, diabetic control and diabetic training groups. Diabetes induced by streptozotocin (STZ). Training groups performed the 17 sessions of resistance training. The IL-6 and RCAN-1 mRNA expression were measured in Soleus skeletal muscle using the Real-time PCR method. Two-way analysis variance was used for statistical analysis. Also, Statistical significance was set at p<0.05.
Results: The results of this study showed that the mRNA expression of RCAN-1 was increased with resistance training in skeletal muscle of training groups (P<0.05). Also, diabetes was decreased expression of RCAN-1 in skeletal muscle of diabetic groups (P<0.001). Moreover, resistance training was increased mRNA expression of IL-6 in skeletal muscle (P=0.08).
Conclusion: With considering to our results, resistance training with direct effects on skeletal muscle could regulate calcineurin pathway in diabetes and concurrent increase in expression of IL-6 myokine. It seems that activation of this signaling pathway with resistance training could maintain skeletal muscle mass in diabetes.

Abstract
Background: The aging of the population is a great challenge of the public health in this century. The health promotion of the elderly people requires a comprehensive and accurate understanding of their health status.
Methods: This cross-sectional study has assessed the health status of 191 old people ≥ 60 in Sistan and Balouchestan province that selected by a multi-level cluster random sampling. General health data was collected using SF-36 questionnaire, nutrition status was assessed using Mini Nutritional Assessment (MNA), depression status was detected by the geriatric depression scale-15 (GDS-15), functional status was assessed using the activity daily living (ADL) and instrumental activity daily living (IADL) questionnaires, as well as, the information about demographic, history of diseases, vaccination, participation in social activities, and the utilization of elderly care services were evaluated by an approved questionnaire. History of hypertension was asked from the participants. Moreover the blood pressures of them were twice measured.
Results: The mean age of the participants was 69.81 (8.32) years. The health status was reported excellent and bad by 4.2% and 9.4% of the participants, respectively. The prevalence of fall in recent year, memory disorder, hearing and visual impairment, and malnutrition were 35.3%, 15.6%, 30.3%, 56.6%, and 8.9%, respectively. The prevalence of dependency in "activity of daily living" and "instrumental activity of daily living" were 25.8% and 58.2%, respectively.
Conclusion: It seems that the prevalence of malnutrition, impaired ADL and IADL, and memory impairment in the older population of Sistan and Baluchestan are above the national and global averages.

Abstract
Background: Elderly people need more receiving health services. Planning to provide services at regional and national levels requires information about the health status of the elderly. This study was performed to assess the health status of East Azarbaijan province.
Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 436 subjects were enrolled (180 men and 258 women) aged ≥ 60 years using multi-level proportioned cluster Random sampling from 19 cities of the province.
Data was collected by a demographic questionnaire , measuring anthropometric characteristics, and blood pressure and using "Mini Nutritional Assessment" ,”Geriatric Depression Scale-15 ", “Katz’s Activity of daily living”, and "Lawton’s Instrumental activities of daily living”.
Results: The mean age of the participants was 69.31 years. The self-reported prevalence of diabetes was 34.2%. The prevalence of hypertension in the elderly was 52.5%. The most common complaint of the participants was pain (60.9%). Totally, 46.9% had a difficulty in walking, 44.3% visually impaired, and 26.4% suffered from hearing impairment. Moreover, 44.8% of sleep disorders was found. Also 26% of the participants had depressed mood.
Conclusion: Elderly residents of East Azerbaijan province, has probably a better health status than the average Iranian elderly. However, there is a high prevalence of hypertension and diabetes among older adults of this province that need to more pay attention.

Abstract
Background: Alborz Province is one of the provinces that accepted immigrants. Immigration has a profound effect on physical and mental health in elderly. This study was performed to assess the health status of Alborz province older population.
Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 235 subjects were enrolled (113 men and 122 women) aged ≥ 60 years using multi-level proportionated cluster random sampling that selected from 19 cities of this province. Data was collected by a demographic questionnaire, measuring anthropometric characteristics, and blood pressure and using "Mini Nutritional Assessment", ”Geriatric Depression Scale-15 ", “Katz’s Activity of daily living”, and "Lawton’s Instrumental activities of daily living”. Data was analyzed with spss21.
Results: The mean age of the participants was 68(6.00) years. The prevalence of anxiety and depression among the participants was as 51.5% and 34%, respectively. At risk or malnutrition was observed in 27% of the participants and 54.5% had suffered dental problems and 49.8% also had problem in walking.
Conclusion: Overall, the health status of elderly people in the Alborz, perhaps slightly better than the national average, but the high prevalence of metabolic disorders also the high prevalence of depression and anxiety require serious intervention by policy makers to promote the health in elderly.

Abstract
Background: Lipid metabolism disorder in muscle plays an important role in creating insulin resistance in skeletal muscle. Perilipin 3 (PLIN3) is one of PLIN proteins in regulation of muscle lipolysis. The purpose of this study was compared two different endurance training intensities on perilipin 3 protein expression in skeletal muscle, serum insulin levels and glucose in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats.
Method: 24 male Wistar rats were randomly divided into three groups. Low and high and high-intensity and control group. Endurance training was applied three times a week for eight weeks. The low-intensity exercise group was trained to the treadmill by running at a speed of 60 percent of vo2max and high-intensity training 85%Vo2max. The expression of the plin2 protein was analyzed by Western blot technique. To determine the significance of differences between the groups, the results were analyzed using one-way ANOVA and Tukey post-hoc test (α= 0.05).
Results: Direct comparison between the groups by ANOVA showed significant differences in perilipin 3 (p=0.0006). Tukey's post hoc test showed that there was a statistical difference between the mean values of the diabetic control group and high-intensity endurance group (P = 0.01). Perilipin 3 not significantly increased in low-intensity exercise compared to the control group (P=0. 67). Also, the comparison between groups showed, there was significant difference between the three groups. The serum levels of glucose and insulin (respectively p=0.001 and p=.001).
Conclusion: The results of the present study showed that the Effects of with high-intensity endurance training increase the expression perilipin 3 in diabetes rats.

Abstract
Background: Effect of mobile text message on blood glucose (HbA1c) control in providing type 2 diabetes care (diabetes mellitus non insulin dependent).
Methods: The present study is a systematic review with meta-analysis. A search of the most important electronic medical databases of medical resources from December 1992 to January 2017 in a systematic manner, including: CRD, Ovid Medline, PubMed, Cochrane Library, and moreover, by referring to the resources found in the articles and manual search on the site. Related to this technology and, if necessary, contacting experts. All randomized clinical trials and cohort studies were reviewed.
Results: Participants included nine studies (818), all randomized clinical trials, and quality assessment. The average decrease in Mobile SMS Services users compared to the control group (SMD-0.324, 95% CI, -0.526 to -0.121; I2 = 51.0). The analysis of subgroups showed that young patients are more likely to use diabetes programs, and the size of the effect increases with short intervals of interventions and the size of large samples.
Conclusion: Mobile SMS services may be considered as an effective component for helping control glycosylated hemoglobin and as a side intervention for the care of patients with type 2 diabetes.

Abstract
Background: Zinc-Alpha 2-Glycoprotein (ZAG) has recently been implicated in the regulation of adipose tissue metabolism due to its negative association with obesity and insulin resistance. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of eight weeks HIIT on level of ZAG in plasma and adipose tissue in type 2 diabetic male rats.
Methods: Twenty one male rats were divided into the three groups of sham control (healthy), control (diabetic), and interval training (diabetic with training). The training group received 8 weeks of training sessions each with 5-12 repetitions of high intensity training for 15-30 seconds at the speed of 27-34 meters per second on a treadmill followed by one minute of active rest. Twenty four hours after the training session blood and body fat samples were taken to measure ZAG levels. The data was analyzed using one-way ANOVA and Tukey’s post hock test at the significance level of 0.05 (P<0.05).
Results: There were significant differences between the sham control and the control with respect to ZAG contents in adipose tissue, which was lower in the diabetic control group (P<0.001). Moreover, significant differences in ZAG contents of adipose tissue were also observed between the sham control and the group receiving the training, with the sham control having higher ZAG contents in adipose tissue (P<0.005). The eight-week HIIT significantly increased the amount of secreted ZAG in adipose tissue compared to the control diabetic group (P=0.003). No significant differences were recorded between the groups in ZAG plasma levels.
Conclusion: The HIIT increased ZAG content in the adipose tissue of the male diabetic rats. This can reduce insulin resistance in type 2 diabetes.

Abstract
Background: Diabetes and obesity are associated with a decrease in sexual function and sexual activity due to changes in sex hormones. The purpose of this study was to investigate the Independent and interactive effect of Tribulus terrestris supplementation and resistance training on testosterone, FSH, LH and erectile function in obese men with type 2 diabetes.
Methods: In this quasi-experimental study, 40 obese men with type II diabetes (41.97±8.01 years old, BMI 31.97±1.87 kg/m2) were divided into four groups: 1) Resistance training+ placebo 2) Tribulus terrestris 3) Resistance training+Tribulus terrestris 4) Control. Subjects in the first and third groups performed a Resistance training protocol for 8 weeks. Also, the subjects in the second and third groups received Tribulus terrestris 1000 mg daily (two 500 mg capsules) and the first group received the same amount of placebo. Blood samples and questionnaires were collected in two stages before and after the test to assess the biochemical values and erectile function. Statistical analysis of data was performed using t-test, one way ANOVA and Tukey post hoc test at a significance level of 0.05.
Results: Results showed that erectile, testosterone, FSH and LH values increased significantly in the three groups of resistance training, tribulus terrestris and resistance training+tribulus terrestris (P≤0.05). Also, were observed significant difference in all variables between resistance training+tribulus terrestris group whit resistance training and tribulus terrestris groups (P≤0.05).
Conclusion: It seams that eight weeks of independent Tribulus terrestris Consumption and performing Resistance training increases sexual and erectile function. But it seams, combining these two, causes more sexual and erectile dysfunction in obese men with type 2 diabetes.

Abstract
Background: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is the most common type of diabetes that was classically characterized by pancreatic β-cell dysfunction. Changes in circadian patterns is one of the reasons which can increase the occurrence of diabetes. Melatonin is one of the biological molecules which plays an important role in regulating the circadian clock and also an inhibitory effect on insulin secretion in β-cells. The aim of this study was to examine the association between MTNR1B (rs10830962) gene polymorphism and the risk of T2DM.
Methods: Genotyping was carried out in a total number of 208 subjects including 108 patients with T2DM and 100 normal controls using polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) which is confirmed by Sanger sequencing method.
Results: The frequencies of CC, GC and GG among cases were 54.63%, 1.85% and 43.52% and in control subjects were 81%, 0% and 19% respectively (P<0.001). Frequency of G allele among diabetic patients was significantly higher than non-diabetics (OR=3.34, CI=2.10-5.36, P<0.001).
Conclusion: Our study showed that rs10830962 polymorphism of the MTNR1B gene can be directly associated with T2DM risk.

Abstract
Background: Type 2 diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) is a multifactorial, polygenic disease caused by impaired insulin secretion, insulin resistance and beta-cell dysfunction. Melatonin is a circadian rhythm regulator and any imbalance in its levels can be related to various metabolic disorders. Melatonin and the genetic variants of MTNR1B gene are reported to be associated with T2DM susceptibility. We investigated the association between rs4753426 variant in the MTNR1B gene and the risk of T2DM in group of Iranian patients.
Methods: In this case-control study108 T2DM and 100 normal individuals were recruited to genotyping by PCR- RFLP.
Results: It was observed a significant difference in CC, CT, and TT genotypes distribution between T2DM and control groups (P<0.001). Frequency of C allele among cases was significantly lower than controls (8.3% vs. 42.5% respectively, P<0.001) and C allele carriers had a 88% lower risk of developing T2DM than T carriers.
Conclusion: Our results showed that the rs4753426 variant of MTNR1B gene could reduce the risk of T2DM developing.

Abstract
Background: Diabetes causes nerve tissue damage and ultimately death of nerve cells, especially in important areas such as the hippocampus. It seems that exercise training and anti-inflammatory supplements can moderate this condition. Therefore, the aim of this study was to determine the effect of aerobic training exercise and L-carnitine consumption on the levels of hippocampus CNTF and CNTFR proteins in diabetic rat.
Methods: 45 Wistar rats between 250 to 300 gr were randomly divided into six groups, including healthy control groups, sham, diabetic control, diabetes
+ aerobic exercise, diabetes + L-carnitine supplementation and diabetes + aerobic exercise + L-carnitine supplementation. L-carnitine supplements were divided. Diabetic groups underwent subcutaneous injection of 55 mg / kg STZ. supplementary groups received 100 mg of L-carnitine per day orally. The aerobic exercise program was performed for 6 weeks and 5 days a week. The research variables were measured 24 hours after the last training session by the ELISA technics in the hippocampal tissue. The statistical method of one-way analysis of variance and Toki post –hoc test were used to analyze the data.
Results: The present study showed an significant increase in CNTF and CNTFR protein levels of hippocampal tissue after aerobic exercise and L-carnitine consumption (P = 0.001), which greater effect found in combination manner.
Conclusion: Due to the effect of aerobic exercise and L-carnitine supplementation alone and in interaction with each other on hippocampal tissue, the use of this method can be considered as maintaining neural tissue in diabetes.

Abstract
Background: It has been shown that C1q TNF-related protein 5 (CTRP5) is a novel adipokine and important molecule related to metabolism regulation. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of different training protocols on improving serum levels of CTRP5, fasting blood glucose, insulin, Insulin resistance in patients with T2DM.
Methods: Sixty men with T2DM (mean age [X̅±SD]=51.45±4.26 years) were randomly assigned to combined exercise group (CEx: n = 15), aerobic exercise group (AEx: n = 15), resistance exercise group (REx: n = 15), or the control group (CON: n= 15). Exercise programs consisted of aerobic exercises at either AEx (50% - 75% of HRR) or REx (70% - 85% of 1-RM), of equal volume, 3 times per week, 45 to 60 minutes per session for 12 weeks. Serum levels of CTRP5, fasting blood glucose (FBG), insulin, Insulin resistance (IR) and body mass index (BMI) were measured at baseline and at the end of the study. The data were analyzed using repeated-measures analysis of variance.
Results: After 12 weeks intervention, FBG, insulin, HOMA-IR and BMI levels decreased significantly, whereas the serum CTRP5 levels increased in the CEx, AEx and Rex groups compared to control (P < .05).
Conclusion: It appears that the increased levels of CTRP5 following exercise interventions contribute to the decreased risk of T2DM.

Abstract
Background: Diabetes is one of the most common chronic diseases in today's society. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of endurance training and nettle consumption on the protein and gene expression of AKT, GLUT4 and insulin in male of muscle soleus of diabetic rats.
Methods: After adaptation to the environment, 40 male Wistar rats were divided into 5 groups: control (C), diabetes (D), nettle+diabetes (UD), exercise+diabetes (ED) and exercise+nettle+diabetes (EUD). After developing and confirming the diabetes model by injection of STZ, rats in the exercise groups performed an endurance training protocol for eight weeks and rats in the nettle groups consumed nettle extract 5 days a week. After completion of the protocol and extraction of soleus muscle, RT-PCR method was used to measure gene expression, Western blot and immunohistochemically method was used to measure protein expression of glut-4 and AKT respectively and ELIZA method was used to measure glucose and insulin.
Results: The results showed that the protein and genes expression of GLUT4 and AKT in the diabetic group compared to the control group was significantly reduced (P<0.001) while the expression of these two variables was significantly increased in the ED and EUD groups (P<0.001) that this increase was greater in the EUD group. The effect of nettle alone on the expression of these two variables was not significant. Glucose, insulin and insulin resistance increased significantly in the diabetes group, while these decreased significantly in the ED and EUD groups (P<0.001).
Conclusion: The synergist of the combination of nettle and exercise significantly improves the improve of diabetes, while each alone has little effect on diabetes-related variables.

Abstract
Background: Over the years type 2 diabetes, in addition to causing irreversible effects on various parts of the body, also causes liver dysfunction and increases the risk of heart failure, but due to the lack of physical symptoms, less attention has been paid. So, the aim of this study was to determine the effect of 8 weeks of endurance training on diabetic indexes and myocardial GLUT4 and liver enzymes of type 2 diabetic rats.
Methods: A total number of 24 rats (220±20) were divided randomly into three groups; 1-Non-diabetic Control group (NC, n=8). 2-Diabetic Control group (D, n=8) To induce type 2 diabetes, high-fat diets were given to rats for two weeks, then streptozotocin (Aldrich company) at a dose of 37 mg / kg in citrate buffer M0.1 (PH4.5) after 6 hours of intraperitoneal fasting was injected, For the healthy control group, the same amount of buffer was injected. Also, aerobic exercise groups ran 5 times a week and 8 weeks on a motorized treadmill. Diabetic index’s, myocardial GLUT4 (Western blotting) and liver enzymes (ELISA) of rats were measured.
Results: Endurance training significantly decreased fasting blood glucose, insulin resistance index (both P= 0.00). It also caused a significant increase in insulin (P= 0.01) and insulin sensitivity index (P= 0.00) compared to the diabetic control group. On the other hand, the amount of GLUT4 in the training group increased significantly (P= 0.01). The results also showed that in comparison with the diabetic control group, ALT and AST did not increase significantly in diabetics with endurance training (P= 0.30, P= 0.5, respectively).
Conclusion: Based on the results, it seems that endurance training significantly increases the level of GLUT4 in the heart and significantly decreased diabetic parameters such as fasting glucose, HOMA-IR index and liver enzymes.

Abstract
Background: Inflammation plays a critical role in the promotion of hepatocyte damage and liver fibrosis. In recent years the protective role of exercise and royal jelly (RJ), has been suggested for metabolic and inflammatory disorders. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the effects of aerobic training (AT) and RJ on pro-inflammatory markers in a rat's model of a high-fat diet (HFD).
Methods: In this experimental study, 45 male rats were randomly divided into five groups (Each group: n=9): Normal Diet (ND), High-Fat Diet (HFD), High-Fat Diet +Training (HFDT), High-Fat Diet + Royal Jelly (HFDRJ), and High-Fat Diet +Training + Royal Jelly (HFDTRJ). The supplement groups received 100 mg of royal jelly (kg/body weight) diluted in distilled water orally during the intervention period. The aerobic exercise program included treadmill running with an intensity of 50-60% oxygen consumption (VO2max), 5 days/week for 8 weeks.
Results: HFD increased hepatic NF-κB (p=0.006), TNF-α (p=0.0001) and IL-1β (p=0.0001). AT, RJ as well as the combination of AT with RJ decreased NF-κB, TNF-α and IL-1β (p≤0.05). Decrease in NF-κB, TNF-α and IL-1β were significant in HFDTRJ group compared to HFDT and HFDRJ groups (p≤0.05).
Conclusion: The combination of AT and RJ may decrease inflammatory markers and improve HFD-induced hepatic steatosis by reducing the expression of NF-κB, TNF-α, and IL-1β.

Abstract
Background: mTOR and CREB proteins are two important factors in cellular pathways and regulating fat tissue metabolism. Therefore, the aim of this research is the effect of endurance training on the amount of mTOR and CREB proteins in the adipose tissue of type 2 diabetic rats.
Methods: In this experimental study, 18 rats 2-month-old male Sprague-Dawley rats with a mean weight of 270±20g were selected. 12 rats became type 2 diabetic by intraperitoneal injection of Streptozotocin solutions. These rats were randomly divided into 2 groups: diabetic training and diabetic control (6 heads per group); A healthy control group (6 heads) was also considered. The training group practiced endurance training 4 days a week for 6 weeks. Data were analyzed using SPSS software version 23 and one-way ANOVA and Tukey post hoc tests.
Results: mTOR protein content showed a significant change after 6 weeks of endurance training (P=0.0001); Tukey's post hoc test showed that this change was significant between the pairs of diabetic training groups to healthy controls (P=0.004) and diabetic control groups to healthy controls (P=0.0001). CREB protein content showed a significant change (P=0.0001); this change was significant between the pairs of diabetic training to diabetic control groups (P=0.02), diabetic training to healthy control (P=0.0001), and diabetic control to healthy control groups (P=0.0001).
Conclusion: mTOR and CREB proteins decreased after Endurance Training, which can be effective in regulating adipose tissue metabolism; however, more training conditions should be considered.

Abstract
Introduction: Type 2 diabetes is a chronic metabolic disease and a complex disorder with several micro and macro vascular complications in different parts of the body, which is associated with cardiac fibrosis. On the other hand, endurance training seems to prevent the development of cardiac fibrosis in diabetes by reducing fasting glucose levels and increasing antioxidant indices. Methods: 24 male Wistar rats were randomly divided into three groups: healthy control (NC, n=8), diabetes control (DC, n=8) and exercise diabetes (DT, n=8) after familiarization with the laboratory environment. Diabetes was induced to diabetic animals through streptozotocin injection. Training groups, performed 8 weeks of intermittent endurance training on a treadmill. Hematoxylin-eosin and Masson trichrome staining were used to check the level of fibrosis and cell disorder. Serum malondialdehyde (MDA) was measured by thiobarbituric acid spectrophotometry. Also, total serum antioxidants were measured by FRAP method.
Results: Compared to the diabetic control group, rats in the training group showed a decrease in fibrosis, fasting glucose, and also a decrease in triglyceride and total cholesterol (P<0.05).
Conclusion: Based on the results, it seems that Endurance training in diabetic Rats prevents the development of cardiac fibrosis caused by diabetes by reducing fasting blood sugar, lipid profile and increasing total antioxidants. However, more studies are needed.

Abstract
Introduction: Diabetes is one of the most common disorders of the endocrine glands, the main characteristic of which is an increase in the concentration of glucose in the serum of patients. Herbal medicines are widely accepted by people due to less side effects. The purpose of this study is to investigate the protective effect of the silybum marianum, melissa officinalis, vaccinium arctostaphylos, trigonella foenum, urtica dioica and citrullus colocynthis extracts mixtures in the PC12 cell model in a high glucose environment.
Methods and Methods: After 24, 48, and 72 hours of adding different concentrations of plant extracts (silybum marianum, melissa officinalis, vaccinium arctostaphylos, trigonella foenum, urtica dioica and citrullus colocynthis) in the normal culture medium of PC12 cells and the medium with high glucose (25 mg/ml, 13/5), cell viability was measured by MTT method.
Results: The results showed that the viability of PC12 cells did not change in 24, 48 and 72 hours after treatment with a mixture of plant extracts. The survival rate of cells in the high dose glucose group was significantly reduced compared to the control group, and the mixture of plant extracts in high doses significantly reduced cell death in these conditions.
Conclusion: Based on the available findings, glucose with a concentration of 25, 13.5 mg/ml caused the death of PC12 cells and the mixture of plant extracts was able to reduce the cell death caused by high glucose in all three times 24, 48 and 72 hours after exposure with nerve cells.

Abstract
Introduction: gestational diabetes is one of the most common diseases during pregnancy, and health literacy of pregnant mothers plays an important role in the prevention and management of the disease. The study aimed to examine and compare the health literacy of pregnant women with gestational and non-diabetic diabetes visiting health centers in the city of Yazd in 1402.
Methods: This descriptive-analytical study was conducted on 206 diabetic and non-diabetic pregnant women, the cluster health center sampling method and pregnant mothers were randomized sampling method. The data was collected using a health literacy questionnaire and analyzed using kayscore tests, Independent t-Tests and variance analysis.
Results: the mean health literacy score of non-diabetic pregnant mothers (74/26±13/75) was significantly higher compared to diabetic mothers (47/27±21/06) (p< 0/05). And 67% of diabetic women had insufficient health literacy. The study also found a strong link between health literacy and maternal diabetes. And diabetic mothers showed an inverse relationship between health literacy and the number of pregnancies and offspring, a trend not observed in non-diabetic mothers.
Conclusion: higher health literacy can help promote diabetes prevention behaviors during pregnancy. Pregnant mothers with higher health literacy levels are likely to make the best decisions about their health and that of their fetus. Which is an indication of the importance of proper health awareness and education for pregnant women.
