Abstract
Background: The possibility that childhood obesity is a chronic disease in adulthood becomes enormous. The incidence and spread of obesity has increased substantially over the past two decades. The importance of personal health and quality of life has prompted researchers to study in this field. The aim of this study was to investigate the changes of serum levels of leptin, insulin, lipid profile, and body mass index after a period of sprint interval training in obese children. Methods: In this study, 30 obese children aged 9 to 11 years were randomly targeted placed in two groups (Training and control group). Sprint interval training was conducted for 8 weeks. Before and after training, measurements of leptin, insulin, lipid profile, and body mass index were measured. Data were analyzed using independent t-test (p<0.05). Results: Data analysis showed that after training, leptin, insulin and cholesterol levels were significantly reduced (p=0.001). Also, a significant decrease in BMI was seen (p=0.01). Conclusion: Sprint interval training on leptin, insulin and cholesterol in obese children has a significant impact and this exercise improve body mass index in these individuals.

Abstract
Background: A unique subset of Individuals with normal body mass index (BMI= 18.5-24.9 kg/m2) and high body fat percentage (above 30% in women and 23% in men) that are termed as normal weight obese, are at increased risk for development of the metabolic syndrome and chronic diseases because the adipose mass and the excess of fat mass are an important source of proinflammatory cytokines. The aim of the present study was based on this hypothesis that women with high body fat percentage and normal body mass index are at increased risk for the metabolic syndrome in compared to healthy non obese women. Methods: This was as case-control study in which 40 obese women with normal weight (BMI= 18.5-24.9 kg/m2) and body fat percentage above 30% (FM> 30%) and 30 non-normal weight obese women (BMI= 18.5-24.9 kg/m2) and fat percentage less than 25% (FM <25%) who were matched for age (mean age = 28 years) recruited for this study. The components of metabolic syndrome including Anthropometric variables, blood pressure and fasting plasma concentrations of total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, triglycerides, glucose and insulin were measured. Results: The anthropometric measurements including waist and hip circumferences in NWO was higher than non-NWO (respectively 74.78±4.81 vs. 70.76±2.91 and 99.12±4.32 versus 93.16±2/91, Pvalue<0.001), while the waist-to-hip ratio did not differ between the two groups (p=0.448).Also no significant differences were observed in concentrations of total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, triglycerides, fasting plasma glucose, systolic and diastolic pressure between groups. Fasting serum insulin and insulin resistance was higher in NOW compared to non NWO (Pvalue<0.05) and insulin sensitivity in NWO was lower than non NWO (0.357 versus 0.374, pvalue = 0.043). Conclusion: Because of the higher serum insulin concentration and the lower insulin sensitivity, obese women with normal body mass index but high body fat percentage can be associated with a higher risk for metabolic dysregulation and metabolic syndrome compared to healthy women with the same body mass index and normal body fat percentage

Abstract
Background: Resistin levels and insulin resistance increase in obese humans. Also, inactive life is associated with high risk of increased insulin resistance. The purpose of this study was to investigate effect of twelve weeks aerobic training on serum levels of resistin, and adiponectin-resistin (AR), homeostasis model assessment-adiponectin (HOMA-AD), and IRAR indices in sedentary obese men. Methods: In a semi-experimental study, twenty one sedentary obese men were randomly placed into two groups: aerobic training (n=10, 27.8±3.2 yr, 93.5±7.1 kg, 31.7±3.4 %, BMI 32.0±3.5 kg/m2) and control (n=11, 27.1±3.1 yr, 94.7±6.0 kg, 31.2±3.1 %, 32.2±3.3 kg/m2). General characteristics of subjects, serum levels of resistin, and HOMA-AD, AR, and IRAR indices were assessed before and after training. Aerobic training consisted of twelve weeks pedaling on cycle ergometer (3 sessions per week, intensity 60-70% of reserved heart rate, duration of each session 20-40 min). Data analyzed by SPSS16 software. Statistical significance was considered at P<0.05. Results: After the training period, serum levels of resistin (P=0.016), HOMA-AD (P=0.007), AR (P=0.020) and IRAR (P=0.003) were reduced, while none of mentioned parameters in control group did not change significantly (P>0.05). Conclusion: Circulating levels of resistin and HOMA-AD, AR, and IRAR, that are novel indices for insulin resistance, were reduced after twelve weeks aerobic training. Therefore, sedentary obese men can reduce risk of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases with performing aerobic training.

Abstract
Background: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of eight weeks of aerobic exercise and supplementation of gensing on homocysteine levels, tiroid hormon and insulin resistant in obese women with hypothyroidism.
Methods: This study is quasi-experimental study. For this purpose, 40 obese women with hypothyroidism with an average age of 34.62 ± 3.55 years, weight 80.47 ± 3.85 kg and BMI of 32.2 ± 2.27 kg / m2, were randomly divided into four groups including aerobic training (10), ginsing (10), aerobic exercise and ginsing (10) and placebo (10) were divided.Aerobic exercise included 8 weeks of aerobic training, 3 sessions per week, 45 to 70 minutes, and 55 to 75% of maximum heart rate. Patients in the ginseng group and aerobic exercise with ginsing consumed each day a Jinsen's capsule containing 250 mg of granule Risomy ginseng powder was taken orally after 8 weeks for 8 weeks, while subjects in the placebo group received flour powdered capsules.Blood samples from the anterior vein were used to measure homocysteine, TSH, T3, T4, glucose and insulin before and after 8 weeks in four groups. For data analysis, dependent t-test and variance analysis were used (P≤0/05).
Results: The results showed that the plasma homocysteine, TSH, glucose concentrate, insulin resistance and insulin resistance were significantly decreased in all three experimental groups while T3 and T4 increased (P <0.05). These indices in the control group were not changed (P <0.05).
Conclusion: Therefore, aerobic exercise, along with supplementation with ginsing, can have an important role in preventing an increase in cardiovascular risk factors and hypothyroidism in obese women with hypothyroidism.

Abstract
Background: Obesity increases the risk of developing type 2 diabetes with regard to the hormones involved. The purpose of this quasi-experimental study was to investigate the effect of aerobic exercise on Dpp-4 and GLP-1 in obese women with type 2 diabetes.
Methods: From among obese women with type-2 diabetes mellitus 35-50 years old referred to the Diabetes Association of Saveh, 20 people were voluntarily selected and randomly assigned to two groups of control (10) and Experiment group (10) were divided. Twenty four hours before the beginning of the training, the individual characteristics of the subjects included age, height, weight, body mass index and research variables (insulin resistance, Dpp-4 and GLP-1) in the pre-test and the training group Aerobic exercise lasted for 8 weeks, 3 sessions per week, and 45-60 minutes each session, and the control group did not practice. After 8 weeks and 24 hours after the last training session, the individual characteristics and variables of the research were again measured. Data were analyzed by independent t-test and dependent t-test at p≤0.05.
Results: There was a significant increase in the level of GLP-1 (P= 0.001) and a significant decrease in DPP-4 level (P= 0.001) in the aerobic exercise group compared to the control group.
Conclusion: Results showed that Dpp-4 and GLP-1 values were significantly different in aerobic training group after 8 weeks compared to control group. It was also found that aerobic training significantly increased the level of GLP-1 and decreased the level of DPP-4.

Abstract
Background: Adropin is a peptide hormone playing a role in energy homeostasis and prevention of obesity. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of aerobic exercise with low intensity on serum adropin levels and insulin resistance index (HOMA-IR) in obese sedentary adolescent boys.
Methods: This study was carried out in a quasi-experimental design. 26 obese adolescent boys were recruited (Mean ± SD: 13.4±0.81 yr; weight: 85.44±8.51kg) and were randomly assigned into two groups: aerobic exercise and control group. The training group performed running with intensity of 50-65% of maximal heart rate, three times a week for 10 weeks. Before and after intervention, blood sampling for measurement of serum adropin, fasting insulin and glucose was carried out. Data were analyzed by paired t-test and independent t-test at significant levels of P≤0.05.
Results: Weight (P=0.001) and body fat percent (P=0.017) showed significant reduction in aerobic group in posttest compared to pretest and control group. Serum adropin levels were increased significantly in aerobic exercise group compared to pretest and control group (P=0.0001). Significant correlation was seen between changes of adropin with changes of weight, body fat percent and HOMA-IR (P≤0.05).
Conclusion: According to the relationship between adropin with body composition and insulin resistance and also, its influence from aerobic exercise, adropin may play a special role in weight and obesity management.

Abstract
Background: The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of high fat diet-induced obesity and interval and continuous exercise training on visceral fat SIRT1 and insulin resistance in male rats.
Method: Forty male rats were divided into two groups: high-fat diet (HFD; n=32) and standard diet (C; n=8). After 10 weeks inducing obesity, eight rats from the HFD and C groups were sacrificed, and rest of obese rats were randomly divided into three groups: obesity control (OC), moderate intensity continuous training (MICT) and high intensity interval training (HIIT). The HIIT and MICT protocols were performed for 12 weeks and 5 sessions per week. Visceral fat samples were collected to measure protein levels of SIRT1 by western.
Results: Induction of obesity was associated with a significant decrease in visceral fat SIRT1 and an increase in insulin resistance (P˂0.05). In contrast, both HIIT and MICT significantly increased visceral fat SIRT1 protein levels (P˂0.05), whereas HIIT effects were significantly higher (P˂0.05). Also, both HIIT and MICT protocols improved insulin resistance (P˂0.05).
Conclusion: Exercise training is likely to play an important role in regulation of visceral fat SIRT1 and because of that may be effective in improving insulin resistance. The increase in SIRT1 also appears to be dependent on the intensity of exercise training.

Abstract
Background: Obesity has been recognized as one of the top 10 health problems by the World Health Organization. The purpose of the present study was to the effect of aerobic training on atrogin, eotaxin and IL-10 indices in obese women.
Method: The present applied research was a quasi-experimental study in which 30 obese women aged 30-45 years were selected by available method from South Tehran Azad University (2016-2017) and randomly divided into two groups of aerobic exercise and control. 24 hours before the start of training, the individual characteristics of the subjects and the research variables (atrogen, eutoxin and IL-10) were measured in blood tissue, then the subjects of the experimental group had their training program for 8 weeks, 3 They performed one session per week and each session lasted 45-60 minutes under the supervision of a researcher. Dependent and independent t-test was used to analyze the data.
Results: Due to the lack of differences in pre-test scores, it was found that the groups were identical. It was also found that 8 weeks of aerobic exercise had a significant effect on the levels of eutoxin, atrogen and interleukin-10 in obese women (p = 0.001)
Conclusion: According to the research results, it is recommended that obese women exercise aerobically. Use to reduce the negative effects of obesity.

Abstract
Introduction: Exercise interventions can play an important role in improving metabolic status by regulating hepotokines. The present study aimed to investigate the effect of eight weeks of Jump Rope Interval Training on serum levels of Fetuin-A and insulin resistance in overweight and obese young men.
Method: In this semi-experimental study, 26 overweight and obese young men (body mass index: 28.24±1.66) were voluntarily and purposefully selected as a statistical sample and randomly divided into two experimental (n=13) and control (n=13) groups. The participants of the experimental group performed Jump Rope Interval Training for 8 weeks (four sessions per week/40 minutes each session). At the beginning and end of the study, venous blood samples were collected to measure Fetuin-A and insulin resistance. Data analysis was done using SPSS software version 24 and with dependent and independent t-tests at a significance level of less than 0.05.
Results: After 8 weeks of Jump Rope Interval Training, a significant decrease was observed in serum levels of Fetuin-A, insulin resistance and, body fat percentage (P≤0.05). Also, a significant difference was observed between the experimental and control groups in serum levels of Fetuin-A, insulin resistance and, body fat percentage (P≤0.05).
Conclusion: According to the results of the present study, it seems that regular jump rope interval training can effectively improve the metabolic complications in overweight and obese people by reducing the levels of hepotokine Fetuin-A.
