Abstract

Background: If a managers try for further income or productivity so they must attentive their staff incentive. One of the most issue in the management process is that managers can distinguish strength of staff but they can't determine their weakness . ACHIEVE model present seven factors ( ability, clarify, help, incentive , evaluation, validity , environment ) that effective to staff performance . and this model help manager to determine cause of performance problem. And create change strategy for solving those problem .
Material & Methods: It is descriptive , survey and inferential study , the population is university hospital managers in Esfahan university. data is gathered through achieve questionnaire that supported by member of management faculty.The reliability is supported based on α koren bakh . for analysis of data use spss soft ware .
Results: Finding show that : Average number of ability factor is (87/5+12/2) , clarify factor (82/3+14/8), help factor (82/6+15/7) , incentive factor ( 81/4+ 15/4), evaluation factor (77/2+15/6) , validity factor (82/7+ 17/3),and environment factor is (85/2+12/8). and base on Pierson test (p<0/05) all of the factor are effective on staff performance.
Conclusion: Today the important problem in health care organization is staff effectiveness . in fact , performance improvement is the most step for organization improvement.

Abstract

Background: Services marketing mix (7Ps) is one of the most important concepts of management and marketing. This study has surveyed the role of services marketing mix components in patients` tendency towards the public and private hospitals in Sari. Materials and methods: In this cross-sectional study, 900 patients were selected from sari`s public and private hospitals based on non-probability quota sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire including the marketing mix components of which the validity and reliability was confirmed. The data were analyzed using the SPSS V.16 software with a multiple regression hypothesis. Results: The results showed that among the components of the services marketing mix, the price had the maximum effect (49.2%) and the physical assets had the minimum effect (14.1%) on patients` tendency to public hospitals. On the other hand, staff had the maximum effect (48.4%) and the promotion had the minimum effect (18.6%)on the patients` tendency to private hospitals. Conclusion: Price is a determining factor in patient’s tendency to refer to public hospitals compared to private hospitals because of delivering services with lower rates. On the other hand, the main reason for patient’s reference to private hospitals is their staff that could be due to their sense of responsibility, accuracy and speed in providing services to patients

Abstract

Background: Physiotherapy information system is one of health information systems which used to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of physiotherapy department. Studies have revealed due to usability problems, users' interaction with some information systems is complicated. This study aimed at evaluating users' interaction problems with physiotherapy information system.

Materials and Methods: This study was a cross-sectional and descriptive one which performed using heuristic evaluation method; the users' interaction problems of a physiotherapy system among 105 hospitals were identified, classified and rated based on their severities by three evaluators. Data were gathered using a data collection form designed in Excel software.

Results: In this study, 82 unique interactive problems identified which majority of them 28% (n=23) were related to unconformity of system design with real world conventions with major mean severity of the problems. The lowest numbers were related to the problems including lack of guidance, system documentation and error prevention with major and minor severity respectively.

Conclusion: A number of systems, which are used in many health care centers such as assessed system in this study suffer from several problems which endanger user interaction about the systems can lead to error and patients' harm. To identify and eliminate this type of problems, it is recommend that usability evaluation of these systems to be carried out regularly to enhance users' satisfaction, workflow improvement and patient safety.

Abstract

Background and purpose: The globalization of medical tourism has intensified competition among destinations, making it crucial to identify key success factors. While research emphasizes the role of host communities in tourism development, non-medical aspects of medical tourism remain underexplored. This study examines healthcare staff perspectives to identify the drivers and barriers affecting medical tourism in public hospitals.
Methods: This qualitative study employed structured interviews with 16 healthcare staff at Masih Daneshvari Hospital, selected through purposive sampling. Interviews were conducted in person during the summer of 2024 until data saturation was reached. Data analysis followed an inductive content analysis approach using MAXQDA software for coding, grouping, and categorization of themes into drivers and barriers.
Results: Key drivers of medical tourism development include skilled human resources, strong medical potential, affordable healthcare and associated costs, and the presence of complementary attractions. Conversely, major barriers include inadequate welfare services for medical tourists, managerial and institutional inefficiencies, hospital infrastructure deficiencies, and political and cultural challenges.
Conclusion: Developing a successful medical tourism sector requires a holistic approach. Identifying, prioritizing, and implementing strategic plans to strengthen facilitators and address obstacles are essential steps toward sustainable growth in this field.
