Abstract

Background: In Iran, the rapid growth of urbanization is in a way that it fits into the appropriate location for urban spaces are not switching. The main consequence of this is failure of service delivery and service system to citizens. One of the most important public services that hospitals provide most of the citizens' health. The purpose of this study, “Optimal locating of hospitals in region 7 in Tehran city”.

Material and methods: This research is descriptive - analytical study has been done. For collecting information and data is used field studies and According to information obtained, To review the study area in terms of access to communication road, green space, away from industrial centers, military, and the fault, as well as for weighting the criteria, is used the AHP model. Then, using a decision model of TOPSIS in GIS software, valuation of criteria has been studied and appropriate maps is prepared, finally map that represents the best location for the construction of hospitals in this area is extracted.

Results: with combination and overlaying of data layers, the final map was obtained and determined that the northeastern section (Cross Resalat Street and cabli), central (martyr Motahari streets and Miremad) and southeast (Bakhshi fard and part of Damavand street) in district 7 are have priority and more points to construct hospitals.

Conclusion : System of Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) with GIS can be used as effective tool in site selection of hospitals. Being located of hospitals, near to green spaces and comunication road and its distance from the industrial and military areas as well as the fault, capability of this model in this study is prove.

Abstract

Background: Non-fermentative, gram-negative bacilli (NFGNB) have emerged as a factor of nosocomial infections and mortal epidemics . Hospital environment is one of the most important sources of NFGNB`s colonization and diffusion. This study is aimed to assess the frequency of NFGNB in various wards of selected hospitals of Tehran. Materials & Methods: 469 samples were randomly selected from various wards from two hospitals during a period of 11 weeks. All isolations had been identified using standard microbiological, biochemical and phenotypic tests. The data were analyzed by SPSS software (version 11.5). Results: Fifty three specimens were positive for NFGNB. Stenotrophomonas maltophilia and Burkholderia cepacia complex were found as predominant bacteria in hospital I(28%) and II (28.6%).The highest rate of NFGNB isolated from surfaces was 60.3% .The pediatric ward was identified as the most contaminated ward (50%). Conclusion: Several genus of NFGNB are found in hospitals. Therefore, identifying other NFGNB`s genus and training health care staff are of prime importance. NFGNB`s distribution depends on type of ward, surface, and equipment. Periodic sampling of hospital environment can be effective against spreading infection.

Abstract

Introduction: The concept of patient satisfaction has become very important in the field of healthcare and the major part of this satisfaction is affected by the quality and variety of hospital hotel services.
The main purpose of this study is to analyzing the effect of quality of non-medical services (hoteling) of hospitals on satisfaction considering the mediating role of satisfaction with health services in Shahid Fayyaz Bakhsh, Shahid Hasheminejad and Masih Daneshvari hospitals.
Method: The type of this study is of applied and descriptive-correlational. The statistical population of this study included 48043 recipients of services in the mentioned hospitals. The sampling method is simple relative random judgment and Krejcie and Morgan table was used to determine the sample size.  information collected through a researcher-made questionnaire. In order to analyze the data and test the hypotheses from descriptive and inferential statistics through SPSS22 software and also to check the model fit and confirmatory factor analysis from Lee software. Shannon entropy method was used to measure the importance and weight of the studied variables.
Results: The weight and priority of each of the research variables implied that the views of service recipients in the field of non-medical services of hospitals, services during treatment, cleaning services, welfare services, human resources, buildings and facilities, and patient nutrition were respectively high to low priorities.
Conclusion: Recipients satisfaction of non-medical services was average. Establishing partnership management system and determining their medical priorities and needs might increase their satisfaction .
