Abstract
Background: There is now a global concern about significant numbers of patients who are harmed or faced financial problems.Therefor, interving in organized approach to provide safe services seems necessary. This study is aimed to assess the basic indicators of patient safety in hospitals affiliated with Tehran University of Medical Science.
Materials and Methods: This descriptive–analytical study was conducted in the 5 selected hospitals affiliated with Tehran University of Medical Sciences. The data were collected using patient safety assessment protocol published by WHO(WORLD HEALTH ORGNAZIATION) tool.The questionnaires were filled using variety of different ways such as : interview, observation and documents investigation. The data were analyzed using SPSS software and also with descriptive and analytical tests.
Results: The results showed total average of maintaining the standards was 51.1% which categorized as weak level based on the protocol . The highest and lowest rates of the domains studied were safe environment (68.8%) and continuing education (24.8%) respectively. Farabi and Rasul Akram hospitals had the best and the worst levels of maintaining indicators of patient safety standards .It is worth mentioning that the status of all the hospitals was in the same level. Statistical tests indicate that maintaining the standards does not differ significantly between participating hospitals.
Conclusion: All participating hospitals has a poor performance through developing basic patient safety indicators .Managers` support and staff participation can be helpful to solve the mentioned issues. Paying attention to patient safety in managerial plans and putting equal value to various aspects of patient safety are pivotal

Abstract
Introduction: Major consideration on hospital emergency services had been taken into account in recent years. This study is aimed to analyze contributory factors of clients' satisfaction in services provided in emergency unit of selected hospitals affiliated with Tehran and Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences.
Materials and Methods: This is a descriptive-analytical and cross-sectional study. 768 clients of emergency departments of selected hospitals had been chosen during last year as samples . 3 general and 3 specialized hospitals had been chosen randomly among total hospitals affiliated with mentioned two universities . A questionnaire consisted of 54 questions in 2 sections had been used for data collection . Reliability and validity were confirmed by professors and 50-sample pilot study respectively. The alpha-cronbach was calculated at 0.87.Responsible rate had been determined at 97.66 % . The data had been analyzed by independent sample t-test, simple linear regression and linear multi-regression.
Results: The demographic characteristics of attendants were as follows: 57.3% women, 56.8% over 45 years old , 63.1% social insurance coverage, 92.7% urban residents , 56% married, 58.7% low education ( below high school level) and 68.4% complementary insurance coverage. Clients had to pay more for services provided by Shahid Beheshti University. Moreover, majority of the clients paid their expenditures by out-of-pocket and insurance. Clients were more satisfied with admission unit , gaurds, physicians, nursing cadre and environment provided by hospitals of Tehran university. On the other hand , in terms of management , clients were more satisfied with management approach provided by hospitals of Shahid Beheshti university . Totally , women , elderly people , urban residents , individuals who visited physicians out of referral system and also ones who came during physician presence felt more satisfaction .Generally , patients were more satisfied with services delivered by hospital affiliated with Tehran university .
Conclusion: Evaluating viewpoints of patients about quality of services result in promoting current trends of providing services.

Abstract
Background: The Health Promoting Hospitals (HPH) initiative emphasizes on changes in traditional hospitals’ approach in care provision. This study aimed to provide scientific evidence required for successful planning and implementation of the HPH in the country’s educational hospitals.
Materials and Methods: In this descriptive-analytical study, opinions of 300 frontline health professionals working in the ten educational hospitals affiliated to the Tabriz University of Medical Sciences were examined using validated tools in 2016. Descriptive data analysis procedures and logistic regression analysis (using Enter method) were applied by SPSS software version 22. The level of significance was considered less than 0.05.
Results: The mean scores and SD for applicability of the HPH standards were 66.06±17.51. Gender (OR=3.19 95%CI: 1.33- 8.40), occupation type (OR= 1.50 95% CI: 0.65- 0.70), hospital type (general vs. specialized) (OR= 1.59 95%CI: 1.10- 1.25), number of active beds (OR=3.84 95% CI: 1.56-9.42) and having prior knowledge about the HPH program (OR=2.81 95% CI: 1.31-4.80) were identified as significant predictors of the HPH standards’ feasibility in the studied hospitals.
Conclusion: Given that study findings, at least the baseline subjective inclination to adapt the HPH standards in the educational hospitals do not exist through the Iranian health care providers’ points of view. As the first step in progress towards preparation for implementing the HPH standards, planning of tailor-made educational programs for hospitals’ staff in Iran is recommended.

Abstract
Background and Purpose: The importance of hospital quality services in order to best utiliz available resources are not unknown to managers. This is especially important in the maternity sector due to the high density of referrals. Implementation of LDR (Labor, Delivery, Recovery) is one of the new approaches to improve delivery services in the country. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of LDR system on quality of delivery services in two selected hospitals of Qom.
Methods and Materials: This is a descriptive-survey study. Data were collected with a cross-sectional approach to compare the quality of service indicators of a hospital with LDR system as a case and a hospital without LDR system as a control group. Data were collected using a standard questionnaire by Poisson sampling and analyzed by SPSS software.
Results: There was no significant difference between the two hospitals except for LDR implementation. There was no significant association between LDR implementation in delivery sector with overall quality of service indicators (3 vs. 2.5) , input, process and output quality indices. However, LDR implementation had a significant effect on some items of these indices (level of significance = 0.05).
Conclusion: According to the research findings, implementation of LDR did not have a significant effect on overall quality of services, but it did affect the subscales of these indices. Therefore, it seems clear that there is a need for proper management policy to control the costs involved in implementing this system.

Abstract
Background and Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate the factors affecting the physicians' decisions in prescribing medicine and in using national and foreign brands of medicine with the help of decision-making styles of Sprolls and Kendall models among physicians in Urmia. Given the prevalence of COVID-19 disease worldwide, physicians' decisions and preferences in prescribing medication are considered vital.
Methods: The present study is an applied survey. The study population included 400 general practitioners, specialists and subspecialists in Urmia. The normality of data was measured using Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. Cronbach's alpha was also used for reliability of the questionnaire. Regression analysis was used to measure the strength or degree of linear relationship between two independent variables. SPSS software was also used for data analysis.
Results: The results showed that out of six influential factors, five factors (quality, brand, newness, price, and loyalty) were identified among physicians. In addition to identified factors, a new factor namely "time and energy saving" was also a determining factor.
Conclusion: Considering the 7 factors influencing physicians 'decision-making, the results showed that physicians pay a great amount of attention to prescribing quality medicine in their preferences. On the other hand, the brand has a special place in physicians' decisions; therefore, drug companies and manufacturers should also care about branding their products.
