Abstract

Background: If a managers try for further income or productivity so they must attentive their staff incentive. One of the most issue in the management process is that managers can distinguish strength of staff but they can't determine their weakness . ACHIEVE model present seven factors ( ability, clarify, help, incentive , evaluation, validity , environment ) that effective to staff performance . and this model help manager to determine cause of performance problem. And create change strategy for solving those problem .
Material & Methods: It is descriptive , survey and inferential study , the population is university hospital managers in Esfahan university. data is gathered through achieve questionnaire that supported by member of management faculty.The reliability is supported based on α koren bakh . for analysis of data use spss soft ware .
Results: Finding show that : Average number of ability factor is (87/5+12/2) , clarify factor (82/3+14/8), help factor (82/6+15/7) , incentive factor ( 81/4+ 15/4), evaluation factor (77/2+15/6) , validity factor (82/7+ 17/3),and environment factor is (85/2+12/8). and base on Pierson test (p<0/05) all of the factor are effective on staff performance.
Conclusion: Today the important problem in health care organization is staff effectiveness . in fact , performance improvement is the most step for organization improvement.

Abstract

Background: Chronic renal failure disease is considered as a health problem . Because of their high prevalence and economic burden on the society, health system managers consider to the disease as a public health concern.  This study aimed at comparing the cost-effectiveness of long-term dialysis treatments and kidney transplant using DALY index.

Materials and Methods:This cross-sectional study was designed to compare the cost-effectiveness of two methods such as long-term hemodialysis and kidney transplant using Disability Adjusted Life Years (DALY) in Afzalipour Hospital of Kerman in 2012. The decision tree model and TreeAge software were used for data analysis. In this research, costs and effects were studied from the patient perspective.

Results: The cost of a kidney transplant was 165 million Rials, effectiveness of a kidney transplant was 4.40 DALY, chronic dialysis cost was 1.283 billion Rials and its effectiveness was 6.52 DALY. Cost-effectiveness ratio for dialysis was 196 million Rials per DALY and this ratio is 37 million Rials per DALY for a kidney transplant respectively. According to the findings, kidney transplant is more cost effective than dialysis.

Conclusion: This study suggests kidney transplant over dialysis due to its better quality of life and more life expectancy. The results can help out the government to decide about the more resource allocation to kidney transplant programs. The method in this research can be applied to measure the cost-effectiveness of other organs transplantation.

Abstract

Introduction : The Internet of Things (IoT) enables the connectivity of all devices in our daily lives, and it has had a positive impact on healthcare, specifically in disease diagnosis and prevention, especially during times of crisis. The objective of this research is to identify the factors that influence the use of IoT in combating COVID-19 in hospitals.

Materials and Methods: This qualitative study was conducted in 2023, using semi-structured face-to-face and telephone interviews with ten experts in health information technology and the Internet of Things. Data analysis was conducted using directed content analysis with MAXQDA software, version 2018.

Results: The data analysis resulted in 124 codes, which were then divided into 32 subcategories. These subcategories were further classified into six categories according to the model of the International Telecommunication Union. The categories include Network (five subcategories), Application (ten subcategories), Equipment (four subcategories), Support (three subcategories), Management (six subcategories), and Security (four subcategories). The Application category had the highest frequency, while the Support category had the lowest.

Conclusion: Infrastructure and legal aspects are among the most significant factors in the implementation of the Internet of Things in healthcare, particularly in the fight against COVID-19.
