Abstract

Background: In Iran, the rapid growth of urbanization is in a way that it fits into the appropriate location for urban spaces are not switching. The main consequence of this is failure of service delivery and service system to citizens. One of the most important public services that hospitals provide most of the citizens' health. The purpose of this study, “Optimal locating of hospitals in region 7 in Tehran city”.

Material and methods: This research is descriptive - analytical study has been done. For collecting information and data is used field studies and According to information obtained, To review the study area in terms of access to communication road, green space, away from industrial centers, military, and the fault, as well as for weighting the criteria, is used the AHP model. Then, using a decision model of TOPSIS in GIS software, valuation of criteria has been studied and appropriate maps is prepared, finally map that represents the best location for the construction of hospitals in this area is extracted.

Results: with combination and overlaying of data layers, the final map was obtained and determined that the northeastern section (Cross Resalat Street and cabli), central (martyr Motahari streets and Miremad) and southeast (Bakhshi fard and part of Damavand street) in district 7 are have priority and more points to construct hospitals.

Conclusion : System of Multi Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) with GIS can be used as effective tool in site selection of hospitals. Being located of hospitals, near to green spaces and comunication road and its distance from the industrial and military areas as well as the fault, capability of this model in this study is prove.

Abstract

Abstract Background: Zone 3 of Zahedan City includes the most deprived areas in province and country. The purpose of this research was assessing the distribution of the health care center (hospitals) and determining the underserved areas based on hospital locating concidering standards and criteria. Materials and Methods: In order to achieve accurate results based on GIS software, spatial and descriptive data using statistics and field observation gathered and connected to database. Besides, AHP Model used to set priorities in locating the optimal urban spaces for building hospitals in the city. Results: Suitable zone with special symbol severance divide from another zones was determine to develop landuse based on dependency to health care centers aimed at providing services in local level . Similarly, two Places recommended constructing health care centers in complete suitable zone. Unsuitable and compeletly Unsouitable zones was determined in zone three of zahedan city in finaly map. Conclusion: study analysis based on urben percapita, population and needed availibilty to health care centers suggests that Zahedan city need two new hospitals setting which has been indexed on final map.

Abstract

Background: The issue of access to urban services is one of the important one that affects different aspects of urban affairs. In some cases, lack of proper access to some land, people's health is exposed to risk, for example Health care services especially in hospitals that impose requirements in a timely and appropriate access to it for all members of society. This study aimed at analyzing the distribution of hospitals and locates new hospitals regards to the lack in Saqqez city.

Materials and Methods: This study was a cross sectional and descriptive one. In order to classify and analyze data, the models of AHP and network analysis have been used. Also, ARC / GIS software and Expert choice has been used to map layers.

Results: According to assessed studies about the distribution of available hospitals and determination of their standard performance, 62.93 percent of the city area has not access to the hospitals.

Conclusion: This study results showed that hospitals in terms of compatibility with other land uses and access is inappropriate in the city. Thus, optimal areas for construction of new hospitals in five final maps from very good to very poor were classified and proposed using combining different layers of effective land uses.

Abstract

Background:  Equitable and suitable access of all citizens to the urban public service is one of the primary principles of urban planning, which with the rise of the justice-centered approaches in recent decades has been double care. In the meantime, access to health services as one of the vital public service has greater sensitivity. This research has been performed with aim of identify enjoyed and non-enjoyed regions regarding health care and its distribution assessment applications in Tabriz city.
Materials and Methods: For the access analysis ARC GIS software, specially Network Analysis tool and Williamson and entropy index and has been utilized. Also, considering respective per capita, Tabriz city population needs and the existing deficiencies have been specified.
Results: The study results indicate that %76 of Tabriz city population have optimal access to healthcare facilities. In contrast, in the analysis of access to hospitals %36 of population have optimal access to theme and %64 have Undesirable access. Also, in urban zones analyses unit, based on Williamson index analysis, the index was calculated 0.67 to Tabriz city, which indicates an imbalance in the distribution of health care Facilities in the Tabriz city.
Conclusion: In general, zone 2 has the most balanced distribution of health care facilities and zone 9 is suffering from imbalanced distribution of health care facilities. It is suggested that in order to reduce the inequalities in the enjoyment of health care facilities, proper assessment about to existing facilities and future planning, in terms of Threshold, capacity and access should be conducted.

Abstract

Background: Among various emergency services, the air emergency due to access to the extreme areas, possibility to move more patients, providing higher quality treatment to the patient being carried and also access to the hospital without problems such as traffic and sudden crashes, is one of the most important types of emergencies in the health sector. So, the right location according to the scientific principles, enhances the efficiency of the aerial emergency.
Materials and Methods: This descriptive- analytical present study was conducted as an applied research in Sistan and Baluchestan province in 2016. At first, indicators affecting the location of ambulances were identified. Then, the location using deploying a Fuzzy network analysis process model next to the Fuzzy Dematel technique and the integration with geographic information system was performed.
Results: Criteria for selecting the best places for deploying air ambulances in Sistan and Baluchestan province are considered as proximity to the roads, appropriate tilt area, proximity to crowded areas, proximity to high risk passages, and the convenient distance from the medical emergencies. Output weights of the technique used for affecting on GIS software were calculated 0.244, 0.083, 0.435, 0.182 and 0.057, respectively.
Conclusion: Study results revealed that number and coverage of aerial ambulances in cities and roads of Sistan and Baluchestan province are not suitable. Therefore, the map derived from the Fuzzy integration of the information layers identified by the effective factors, illustrated that the districts of Zabol and Iranshahr cities have the best status of selected criteria to establish the air emergencies bases in the province of Sistan and Baluchestan.
