Abstract
Background and Aim: Changes in political, economic, social, scientific and technological circumstances have a major impact on organizational performance. In such circumstances, the success of organizations depends on their ability to cope and adapt to changing environmental factors. This study investigated the relationship between organizational participation(team orientation, capability development and empowerment) and the organizational adaptability (change, customer orientation and organizational learning) in Imam Khomeini Hospital staff.
Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study was performed on 114 staffs of Imam Khomeini hospital, Tehran University of Medical Sciences who were selected by random sampling. Data were collected by Denison questionnaire (2006 version), which was confirmed validity and reliability. Data were analyzed with spss17 and statistical methods like the mean, standard deviation and correlation coefficients.
Results: The results showed that the rate of the organizational involvement and adaptability of the staffs was 53.44% and 52.37% respectively. The Pearson correlation analysis showed a positive correlation coefficient (p<0.01, r=0.743) between two variables of organizational involvement and adaptability.
Conclusion: With increasing organizational involvement of the staffs increases their organizational adaptability

Abstract
Background and Aim: Quality of printed papers in 4 four medical journals affiliated to one of the universities of medical sciences in Iran was assessed based on methodological and statistical methods.
Materials and Methods: In this cross sectional study conducted in 2010, out of all articles published between the years 2002 to 2008 in one of the universities of medical sciences for affiliated journals that were equal to 1568, a sample of 162 articles were selected with Multi-stage stratified sampling method . For data collection, standard questionnaire was used to develop an information form. One sample t-test and Kruskal-Wallis test were used to compare scores from different parts of article.
Results: Cross sectional studies with 61.7% (100 papers) formed most of studies. Median of authors and number of references for each article were 3 and 19, respectively and 10% of articles had more than 35 references. Material and methods with 3.53 points from 4 points (88.2%) earned the mighest score which was of high quality and conclusion achieved the lowest score. Also p-value has been reported correctly in 102 articles (81.6%). In 95 articles (58.6%) results were not compare with the similar internal articles whereas only in 21 articles (13%) comparison was not made with similar external researches.
Conclusion: The present study showed that the overall quality of the medical articles is not desirable. Hence, employing experts in research methods and statistics in various medical studies can improve the quality of articles in this branch of science.

Abstract
Background and Aim: Increase in life expectancy is associated with non-communicable diseases. This study is aimed to survey the effect of chronic diseases on the quality of life among the elderly people in elderly care centers in the East of Tehran in 2011.
Materials and Methods: This is an analytical study in which 424 people were randomly selected. They were members of elderly care centers and were 60 years of age or higher. The data collection instruments were a standard quality-of-life questionnaire(SF36) and a chronic diseases record checklist. The data were collected in an interview. For data analysis purposes, Independent T-Test, ANOVA, and Pearson correlation coefficient were used.
Results: The mean age of participants was 67.34±7.16. Some 92.2% of patients were suffering from at least one chronic disease, and there was a significant statistical difference between the mean points of all aspects of quality of life of those suffering from chronic diseases and those without a history of chronic diseases(P<0.001). Moreover, there was a significant relationship between the quality of life on the one hand and gender, marital status, economic status, and education on the other(P<0.05).
Conclusion: The findings show that an increase in the number of chronic diseases leads to a decrease in the quality of life, and that the application of appropriate educational and interventional approaches can help take effective steps to enhance the old people's health.

Abstract
Background and Aim: Violence against women is recognized internationally. Domestic Violence is a phenomenon as old as family history. The purpose of this study was to determine empowerment indicators of women covered by Imam Khomeini Relief Committee in Gorgan.
Materials and Methods: The method of study was descriptive-analytical and the data collection tool was a questionnaire. To determine reliability, test-retest method was used, and a correlation coefficient of 0.883 was obtained. To determine validity, Cronbach's alpha was applied and the figure turned out to be 0.81. In total, 91 women participated in the study and completed the questionnaire. They had at least one child and each l ived with her husband. The data were then analyzed using SPPS software(version 16) as well as descriptive and inferential(Chi square) statistics.
Results: The means and standard deviations of women's Knowledge, Attitude, Self-esteem and Self-efficacy were 6.5±2.49, 4.16±2.22, 5.25±1.92, 5.26±1.67. The means of all 4 indicators were either average or low for violence against women moreover, they did not know much about anger management skills.
Conclusion : Women should be empowered to prevent violence against them. To this end, they should be informed about how to enhance their K nowledge, Attitude, Self-esteem and Self-efficacy.

Abstract
Background
and Aim: Scientific journals are the most
major tools in disseminating research findings. With the increasing number and price of scientific journals, libraries
need to select journals. Citation analysis is a practical method in identifying
the best titles to be subscribed. This study was to identify core journals in
the field of dentistry using citation analysis.
Materials
and Methods: Two hundered and seventy six
documents including dentistry theses (241 titles) and faculty papers (35
titles) indexed in Science Citation Index (SCIE) were selected and their
references were extracted and evaluated using citation analysis methods. The
distribution frequency of journals confirmed the Bradford’s Law of Scattering
representing core dentistry journals.
Results:
Eleven thousand
twenty three references were totally extracted. Average reference per theses
and papers was 39/25 and 44/74, respectively. English journals and books were
the most frequent referred documents having 95% of total references approximately.
The most updated references were in English dated during 2001-2005 and
2006-2010. Using the Bradford’s Law, five journals were introduced as core
dentistry journals.
Conclusion: Selecting and subscribing core
journals leads into cost-effectiveness in libraries and plays an important role
in meeting user’s needs. While having
many challenges in accessing scientific resources, core journals selection and
subscription is an intelligent action
resulting in effective use of financial resources.

Abstract
Background and Aim: Effective educational programs, is one of the most basic methods in prevention of Nosocomial infection. This study aimed to compare the effects of E-learning versus lecture-based education in prevention of Nosocomial infections among hospital staffs.
Materials and Methods: A randomized pre and posttest control group design was conducted on 98 hospital staffs in 2013 after allocating into two groups of "lecture-based education" and "E-learning”. Data were collected by a researcher-made questionnaire which its validity and reliability was confirmed by a pilot study. Wilcoxon, Paired and Independent sample T-test was conducted using SPSS, version18.
Results: There was a significant difference for outcomes before and after education based on two approach of lecture-based (p=0.01) and E-learning (p=0.01).The mean and standard deviation of knowledge in lecture-based education and E-learning group were 12.73± 2.76, 11.50 ± 2.64 respectively. The level of knowledge in the lecture group was significantly higher than that of participants in the E-learning group (p=0.02).
Conclusion: Despite the effectiveness of E-learning in learning and raising awareness of the learners, using of this method among health-related organizations need to empower employees, remove the barriers and suitable infrastructure.

Abstract
Background and Aim: Heterogeneous insertion of Organizational affiliations can cause loss of ranking points in the national and international levels. So, we decided to investigate the different affiliations of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in scientific publications that indexed in Web of Science and their effect on the result of research activities evaluation in the year 2012.
Materials and Methods: Methodology of this study is bibliometric approach with descriptive survey. The study included 1139 scientific production of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences that indexed in Web of Science in the first one in April 2011 to April 2012.
Results: 1139 articles indexed in the Web of Science, 94/38% in the evaluation of the research activities of the ministry of health have been scored and 5/61% failed. Among the unsuccessful papers 1/01%, had been inserted affiliation incorrectly. One-sample t-test showed that the mean score of 1/01% has no significant statistical impact on the total average rating of products indexed in Web of Science.
Conclusion: Investigation showed that standard insertion of affiliation has impact on enterprise University Ranked and University status at the international level.

Abstract
Background and Aim: In the recent years the number of science research health journals has increased in Iran. These journals should be based on the standards and criteria required in international indexing database. The aim of this study was to determine the adaptation rate of structural requirements on the Iranian medical journals with the criteria of indexing based on Scopus indexing database.
Materials and Methods: This study was a descriptive-applied study done using bibliometric methods. The statistical population was all of the science research journals in health ministry on 2014. The data collection tool was the inventory control extracted from Scopus database. The data was collected and analyzed by SPSS20 software and descriptive statistics methods.
Results: The results showed that more than half of the biomedical journals were not based on the international editing statements and also, participation of the members of international editing committee was very low. The mean of international editing committee members was 83.3% and all of them were in Iran besides, participation of non Iranian authors was very low in these journals, with a participation rate of only 5.79%.
Conclusion: The Iranian medical journals did not follow the expected criteria in Scopus indexing database in a satisfaction level. Adaptation to the expected criteria can facilitate the entering and indexing procedures for these health journals in Scopus indexing database.

Abstract
Background and Aim: The quality of healthcare services is determinant in patients’ improvement process, upgrading their satisfaction, ranking healthcare centers, and preventing patients’ repeated referrals leading to more costs for healthcare centers and insurance companies. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the quality of services -- from the perspective of patients -- given by the laboratories having contract with Iran Health Insurance Organization (IHIO).
Materials and Methods: In this cross-sectional study, the opinions of 302 patients having referred to the laboratories in contract with IHIO in Tehran were surveyed with a researcher-developed questionnaire. Descriptive and inferential statistical tests were used to analyze and report the results.
Results: The sample included 43.5% males and 56.5% females. Most of the participants were married (71/3%). Based on the results, the patients' perception of the quality of laboratory services was 78%. Their expectation of services was 85%. The gap between perception and expectation of clients in all dimensions was statistically significant (p<0/001).
Conclusion: The gap between clients’ perception and expectation in all dimensions suggests that there is some room for improving the quality of laboratory services. The results of this assessment can surely affect the way IHIO treats with laboratories in terms of extending contracts and strategic purchase of services from these centers. In addition, patients' opinions will be important in improving the quality of services.

Abstract
Background and Aim: Artificial intelligence is a branch of computer science that has the ability of analyzing complex medical data. Using artificial intelligence is common in diagnosing, treating and taking care of patients. Warfarin is one of the most commonly prescribed oral anticoagulants. Determining the exact dose of warfarin needed for patients is one of the major challenges in the health system, which has attracted the attention of researchers. The purpose of this study was to determine the exact dose of warfarin needed for patients with artificial heart valves using artificial neural networks (ANN).
Materials and Methods: A total of 9 multi-layer perceptron ANNs with different structures were constructed and evaluated based on a dataset including 846 patients who had referred to the PT clinic in Tehran Heart Center in the second half of the year 2013. Finally, the best structure of ANN for warfarin dose was investigated. All simulations including data preprocessing and neural network designing were done in MATLAB environment.
Results: The effectiveness of ANNs was evaluated in terms of classification performance using 10-fold cross-validation procedure and the results showed that the best model was a network that had 7 neurons in its hidden layer with an average absolute error of 0.1, turbulence rate of 0.33, and regression of 0.87.
Conclusion: The achieved results reveal that ANNs are able to predict warfarin dose in Iranian patients with an artificial heart valve. Although no system can be guaranteed to achieve 100% accuracy, they can be effective in reducing medical errors.

Abstract
Background and Aim: The use of purchasing mechanisms in the field of Medical Equipment and with government law and regulation can serve as a way to move towards smart purchase and increase access to vulnerable groups in order to receive services promote justice. This study conducted to Review of purchase management of Medical Equipment in Hospitals of Tehran University of Medical Sciences.
Materials and Methods: In this applied study conducted in 2018, the study population consisted of 623 individuals and research sample of 431 individuals for each domain that were selected by stratified random sampling. Data were collected using researcher-made questionnaire whose variables were extracted from comparative studies and its validity was measured by content validity Ratio, content validity index and Cronbach's alpha coefficient were obtained. SPSS18 and AMOS software were used to analyze the data by statistical methods of exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis.
Results: According to the results, effective dimensions in purchase management of Medical Equipment in Hospitals of Tehran University of Medical Sciences included Technical, Organizational, Political and Economic dimension with path coefficient of 1.244 1. 151, 0.973 0.845. Values indicate that all study paths are meaningful; in the other words, path coefficients are applicable.
Conclusion: Based on this study, Effective dimensions in purchase management of Medical Equipment consist of four dimensions (Technical, Organizational, Political and Economic) which is a comprehensive and multidimensional concept. Therefore, consideration of all its dimensions and components can best guide the buyer agencies in moving towards efficient purchase.

Abstract
Background and Aim: Today along with information technology development, telemedicine technology has expanded dramatically. Sinse telemedicine technology relies on data transmission, it is essential to pay attention to issues such as network security, confidentiality, and privacy of patients. Therefore, the aim of this study was to determine the importance of information security requirements in telemedicine networks based on managers and employees of the information technology unit of the University and teaching hospitals of Birjand city
Materials and Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted in year 2021. The research population was The managers and employees of the information technology unit of the university and teaching hospitals of Birjand city (40 people), who were surveyed by the census. The study tool was a researcher-made questionnaire that confirmed its validity by faculty members and experts, and its reliability was calculated with Cronbach’s alpha (0.83). After collecting the data, they were entered into the SPSS software and were analyzed using descriptive statistics.
Results: The results showed that the security requirement related to information transportation is more important than other requirements. Also in the field of human resources, providing detailed documentation and training guides for users of the systems was with an average of (4.47). In the medical diagnosis equipment field, telemedicine network systems are equipped with emergency power was with an average of (4.72). In the storage and access to information context, installing antiviruses and anti-malware on all systems was with an average of (4.75), and also in the field of information transfer, encryption of important and sensitive files and information was with an average of (4.69) were the most important security needs.
Conclusions: As the results showed, security requirements related to information transfer have more importance than other requirements; Initially, information security can be guaranteed by creating security policies, updating and monitoring their implementation, as well as training employees. However, in order to transfer sensitive medical information, encryption and qualification verification methods, secure information transfer protocols, virtual and private networks (VPN) and other new technologies can be used in this field. Of course, necessary preparations should be made to create appropriate technical infrastructure for the implementation of security policies in information transmission.

Abstract
Background and Aim: Diabetes is one of the most common metabolic diseases in Iran and the fifth leading cause of death all over the world. Its spread around the world has created new methods in biomedical research, including artificial intelligence. The present study was carried out to review the studies conducted in the area of artificial intelligence and diabetes in Iran.
Materials and Methods: This study was carried out using a systematic review method. Valid domestic databases, including Irandoc, Magiran, Sid and Google Scholar search engine, were reviewed using the keywords of artificial intelligence and diabetes in Persian both individually and in a combined manner without time limitation until June 20, 2021. A total number of 7495 articles were retrieved, which were screened in different stages (exclusion of duplicates (1824), title and summary of the articles (5884) and full text (30) and finally 20 articles that met the criteria desired by the researchers were carefully reviewed.
Results: Among the retrieved articles, 20 articles met the inclusion criteria, of which 16 articles dealt with methods based on artificial intelligence and 4 articles dealt with the design of new systems based on artificial intelligence. Also, 10 articles examined the role of artificial intelligence in prediction, 8 articles in diagnosis, and 2 articles dealt with the control and management of diabetes. Most of the articles were related to the use of data mining methods such as artificial neural network, decision tree, etc. (16 articles). Some studies also evaluated and compared artificial intelligence methods on application, accuracy and the sensitivity of artificial intelligence in diagnosing and predicting diabetes (10 studies).
Conclusion: A systematic review of articles revealed that the use of data mining methods for diabetes management in Iran has been associated with good progress, but there is a need to design artificial intelligence systems and algorithms and more measures should be taken in the area of diabetes control and management.

Abstract
Background and Aim: There is a correlation between disease and quality of life in patients with chronic disease and physical disorders have a direct effect on all aspects of quality of life. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the effect of family-centered empowerment model based on multimedia education on the quality of life of children with thalassemia.
Materials and Methods: In this experimental study, 120 patients along with their parents, who had medical records at the thalassemia center of Khatam al-Anbiya Hospital in Shoushtar, were selected according to the inclusion criteria and were divided into two groups of intervention and control (n=60) by random allocation. Subjects were matched in terms of age and gender. The data collection tools included Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory (Ped-SQL) and researcher-made questionnaires of awareness and self-efficacy in the area of thalassemia. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS and Mann-Whitney and Wilcoxon statistical tests and Pearson’s correlation coefficient.
Results: Out of 120 children who were included in the study, 87 were girls (72.5%), the mean age of these children was 9.74±2.25 years and disease duration was 5.35±4.47 years. In this study, in terms of children’s quality of life and its dimensions, after the implementation of the educational model, a significant increase was observed compared to pre-test phase only in the intervention group (P<0.001). After implementing this model, the level of knowledge (P<0.001) and self-efficacy of parents (P=0.003) was faced with a significant increase, and this significance was also observed compared to the control group (P<0.001). The variables of age, gender, disease duration and parents’ education level had no effect on parents’ self-efficacy and knowledge as well as children’s quality of life (P>0.05).
Conclusion: Based on the results of the present study, the implementation of family-centered empowerment programs based on multimedia education among parents of children with thalassemia improved the quality of life of these children by increasing the knowledge and self-efficacy of their parents. It is suggested that this program be implemented on a wider scale with better facilities for parents and the family members.

Abstract
Background and Aim: The Hospital Information System is a complete one to provide high-quality patient care and enhance community health, so it must be designed and produced accordingly. In this regard, the current research was carried out with the aim of providing the document of standards for producing Hospital Information System software for Iran.
Materials and Methods: In this study, following extraction of the features and services of the Hospital Information System from the texts, they were matched with the generalities of the document of standards compiled by the Statistical Data Management and Information Technology Office of the Ministry of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education (SDMITO). Also, the Hospital Information System was reviewed observationally, all defects of document of standards were identified, and the document was amended throughout. After providing the proposed document of standards, it was consulted by a group of experts, which included ten health information management professors, ten medical informatics professors (with at least seven years of experience as members of the academic staff), and five heads of the information technology field of the Ministry of Health. An agreement coefficient of 85% was considered to accept and approve the document of standards. After obtaining the agreement coefficient, The Hospital Information System software production document of standards was provided.
Results: The document of standards provided for the production of Hospital Information System software includes the Hospital Information System design meta model, Hospital Information System subtypes, standards for the structure and content of Electronic Health Record, information terminology standards, data classification standards, security data standards, data exchange standards, clinical services, and management services, which were placed in the four areas of “features”, “services”, “documentation requirements” and “rules and policies”.
Conclusion: The application of this document of standards leads to the production of a higher quality, efficient, and standard Hospital Information System software, which is effective in improving the health level of society and provides the conditions for the implementation of Electronic Health Record.

Abstract
Background and Aim: Systematic reviews and meta-analyses are the most reliable sources of evidence in evidence-based practice. Analyzing the scientometric and authorship features of these articles at the national level can provide useful information for various decision-makers. This study aimed to investigate the scientometric and authorship characteristics of Iran’s systematic review and meta-analysis articles indexed in Scopus.
Materials and Methods: The current research was conducted using a scientometric approach. The research population includes 9579 systematic review and meta-analysis articles published between 2011 and 2021, and Iran is the affiliated country of at least one of the authors. The quantitative and qualitative growth process of articles as well as the authorship characteristics are examined in this research, among other things.
Results: Review of 9579 articles indicate an increasing trend in the publication, with the highest number of articles (2565) being published in 2021. The thematic analysis shows that the majority of articles are related to the field of Medicine, with 7112 articles, followed by Biochemistry, Genetics, and Molecular Biology with 1433 articles. The highest H-index, 68, refers to the year 2018 and the highest percentage of articles included in the Hirsch Index horizon refers to the year 2011. The highest average number of citations per article is 146.44, observed in 2012, while the lowest is 4.62, reported in 2021. The highest average number of citations in relation to the age of the articles was 9735/34 in 2020, whereas the minimum was 279 in 2011.Calculating the percentage of articles above the H-index horizontal line based on total articles of each year, along with the average citation per article, shows a decreasing trend with slight fluctuations. On the other hand, there is a growing trend when considering the number of citations in relation to the age of the articles. The lowest average author count (5.48) is linked to 2011, whereas the highest count (12) is related to 2012. The first and the corresponding author of more than 91% of the articles was from Iran. In conducting the examined articles, researchers from the United States collaborated the most (12.05%) with researchers from Iran. University of Tehran, as the authors' affiliated organization, has contributed the most to the examined articles (27.81%). The Iranian Journal of Public Health has published the most of the examined articles (36/1%).
Conclusion: The articles under investigation show an increasing trend of growth, yet further research is needed to assess their qualitative trend. Given the rising significance of evidence-based practice, the stakeholders need to ensure the maintenance of the quantitative growth trend and the enhancement of the qualitative growth of these articles.

Abstract
Background and Aim: Adipokines imbalance causes pathological effects on this system. Exercise interventions can play an important role in regulating the secretion of adipokines. This study aimed to investigate the effect of 12 weeks of resistance training on the serum level of apelin, vaspin, and blood pressure in elderly men with hypertension.
Materials and Methods: In this quasi-experimental study, 24 elderly men with high blood pressure were selected purposefully and based on the inclusion criteria and were randomly assigned to resistance training (N=12) and control (N=12) groups. The participants of the resistance training group performed resistance training for 12 weeks and three days a week. At the beginning and end of the study, blood samples were collected to measure the serum level of apelin and vaspin. Data analysis was performed using SPSS version 24 software with dependent and independent t-tests at a significant level of less than 0.05.
Results: After 12 weeks of resistance training, there was a significant decrease in the serum level of apelin (P=0.002), vaspin (P=0.01), systolic blood pressure (P<0.001), and diastolic blood pressure (P<0.001) as compared to the pre-test. In addition, a significant difference was observed between the two experimental and control groups in the serum level of apelin (p=0.001), vaspin (P=0.001), systolic blood pressure (P<0.001), and diastolic blood pressure (P<0.001).
