Abstract

Background and Aim: Conditions, advantages and limitations of professional ethics have not been discussed. The present study aimed to determine the framework, dimensions and requirements of professional ethics in selected countries in order to review their experiences.
Materials and Methods: The present study was comparatively conducted in 2017. Considering inclusion criteria in designing study including purposeful and specified activity in terms of professional ethics, five countries of United Kingdom, Malaysia, Japan, Turkey and United States of America achieved the conditions to enter the study. For data analysis, comparative tables were used which included dimensional comparison obtained from professional ethics development study in the selected countries. 
Results: Medical and nursing associations and headquarters units in Ministries of Health, prepare appropriate utilization of professional ethics principles. Using temporary or permanent and regular committees in line units, also includes other characteristics of attention to the professional ethics concept in the selected countries. In Malaysia and Japan, professional ethics is taught in different courses and majors. 
Conclusion: Applying professional ethics concept requires information transparency and factors such as education, organizational structure set up and their establishments and institutionalizing must should be discussed more and to be localized on the basis of the countries situations.

Abstract

Background and Aim: The Ovarian epithelial cancer is one of the most deadly types of cancers in women.Thus, the purpose of this study was to investigate the most effective factors in predicting and detecting Ovarian cancer in the form of a decision tree to facilitate the Ovarian cancer diagnosis.
Materials and Methods: The present study was a descriptive-developmental study. The main research tool applied in this study was a checklist which was designed based on the medical records, published studies, scientific references, and expert consultation.To determine the content validity of the checklist, the CVR method was applied. Next, survey research was done with aid of Likert-based checklist based on expert opinions in gynecology. Finally, to develop the decision tree, the results of the expert survey were analyzed and the final model was implemented based on the survey results.
Results: The data elements of final decision tree were derived from the result of expert surveys, guidelines, clinical pathways and strategies in context of diagnosis and screening of Ovarian cancer. The leaf nodes in the tree include different types of tumor markers, following up, therapeutic measures, and referrals. The accuracy of the decision tree was approved by the experts. The most important tumor markers that obtained from the decision model in this study were CA19-9, ROMA (CA125 + HE4) and CEA.
Conclusion: Clinical decision models can provide specific diagnosis and therapeutic suggestions by creating patient information integration framework. The model developed in this study can improve the diagnosis of epithelial Ovarian cancer considerably by facilitating decision making.

Abstract

Background and Aim: The use of purchasing mechanisms in the field of Medical Equipment and with government law and regulation can serve as a way to move towards smart purchase and increase access to vulnerable groups in order to receive services promote justice. This study conducted to Review of purchase management of Medical Equipment in Hospitals of Tehran University of Medical Sciences.
Materials and Methods: In this applied study conducted in 2018, the study population consisted of 623 individuals and research sample of 431 individuals for each domain that were selected by stratified random sampling. Data were collected using researcher-made questionnaire whose variables were extracted from comparative studies and its validity was measured by content validity Ratio, content validity index and Cronbach's alpha coefficient were obtained. SPSS18 and AMOS software were used to analyze the data by statistical methods of exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis.
Results: According to the results, effective dimensions in purchase management of Medical Equipment in Hospitals of Tehran University of  Medical Sciences included Technical, Organizational, Political and Economic dimension with path coefficient of 1.244 1. 151, 0.973 0.845. Values indicate that all study paths are meaningful; in the other words, path coefficients are applicable.
Conclusion: Based on this study, Effective dimensions in purchase management of Medical Equipment consist of four dimensions (Technical, Organizational, Political and Economic) which is a comprehensive and multidimensional concept. Therefore, consideration of all its dimensions and components can best guide the buyer agencies in moving towards efficient purchase.

Abstract

Background and Aim: One of the essential methods of evaluating academic libraries’ mobile websites is the usability analysis method; websites’ usability means their ease and simplicity of use. This study aims to evaluate the usability of the mobile website of the libraries of top medical universities in Iran. This study aims to evaluate the usability of mobile websites of the libraries of top Iranian universities of medical sciences.
Materials and Methods: This study was done by the descriptive-survey method. The study’s statistical population includes mobile websites of the libraries of the top 50 universities of medical sciences in Iran, which have gained the highest rank in universities’ webometrics ranking in January 2019. The tool used in this study was a checklist. Data analysis was performed by descriptive and analytical statistical methods and SPSS software.
Results: The data analysis showed that in terms of usability of the mobile websites of university libraries, Kerman, Birjand, and Tehran universities of medical sciences were in the first to third ranks with 89.23%, 84.62%, and 81.54%, respectively. Neishabour, Gonabad, and Semnan universities of medical sciences were the last ranks with 40%, 43.08%, and 44.62%., respectively. The evaluation of the research components showed that “system visibility status,” “assisting the user in identifying, detecting and compensating for errors,” and “guidance and documentation” were in the best situation, and components of “error prevention,” “flexibility and system efficiency,” and “User control and freedom” were in their worst condition.
Conclusion: Given the increasing influence and popularity of smart cell phones in the professional life of academics, it is necessary for administrators and designers of mobile websites of academic libraries to consider the applicability and effectiveness of mobile websites of the research community, taking into account the practical findings of the present study.
