Abstract
Background and Aim: Prevalence of anabolic steroids (ASs) consumption among bodybuilders has increased progressively. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of ASs consumption on C-reactive protein (CRP) in bodybuilders.
Materials and Methods: Sixty healthy men (age: 24/1± 9/1yr weight: 77±10 kg and height: 172±12 cm) participated in the study voluntarily. These subjects were selected from three groups. First group (FG) was bodybuilders who consumed ASs (n=20), second group (SG) was bodybuilders who did not consume ASs (n=20) and third group (TG) were untrained subjects as control (n=20). Blood samples were collected in fasting state (12 hours) at 09:00 for CRP assessment. Strength and volume of the forearm, pectoral major and femur muscles were measured via 1RM test and muscle circumstances, respectively. Speed was assessed by 30m speed test. Analysis of variance test and LSD post-hoc test was used.
Results: FG had significantly greater blood CRP (P<0/05) compared to other groups. However, differences between SG and TG were not significant. Muscle strength, and forearm and femur circumstances were greater in FG than other groups. Furthermore, this was greater in SG than TG. But chest circumstance was greater in FG and SG than TG only. There were no significant differences in speed between groups.
Conclusion: ASs consumption for muscle strength and volume improvement in bodybuilders is accompanied by higher level of CRP (as a cardiovascular risk factor).

Abstract
Background and Aim: Learning basic issues in nursing requires new strategies that can enhance knowledge retention among nurses. This study aimed to determine the effect of lecturing by peer-nurses on critical units nurses’ retaining knowledge of electrocardiogram (ECG) interpretation.
Materials and Methods: In this experimental study, two units (as test and control groups) were selected randomly from among critical care units of Semnan University of Medical Sciences hospitals. First, a pretest was performed on nurses in both groups. Then, the nurses of test group were trained by a peer-nurse how to interpret ECGs. A posttest was performed on the two groups both a week and a year later. Finally, the data were analyzed using Pearson’s correlation coefficient, t-paired and t-tests.
Results: The mean of nurses’ scores of ECG interpretation in pretest was 9.55±2.73 in the test group and 10.82±3.43 in the control group. In the first posttest, mean scores of nurses’ knowledge in test and control groups were 15.27±2.57 and 11.36±3.29, respectively. In the second posttest, nurses’ mean scores in test and control groups were 10.82±4.07 and 11.33±2.95, respectively. There was a significant difference (p<0.05) between the pretest and the first posttest in the test group, but there was no such difference for the second posttest (p>0.05).
Conclusion: Lecturing by peer-nurses can enhance nurses’ knowledge about ECG interpretation in the short run, but it cannot enhance knowledge retention. So it is suggested that other educational methods be used in nurses' in-service training programs designed for ECG interpretation.

Abstract
Background and Aim: Pathology Information Systems provide opportunities for pathologists and clinical laboratory professionals to influence clinical care and modern research programs. The objective of this study was to determine the minimum data set of Anatomical Pathology Information System from the experts’ point of view.
Materials and Methods: This study is considered an applied research conducted through a descriptive cross-sectional research method. The research instrument was a questionnaire containing data elements related to sample and those related to the patient. This questionnaire was completed by three groups of participants including 22 experts in the field of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, 23 experts in Health Informatics and Health Information Management, and 6 Insurance experts. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and SPSS software.
Results: The results indicated that all information elements contained in the questionnaire except the address of the pathologist, resident or the person who performs the act of gross examination were considered as informational elements essential to the system and the high average of five was allocated to them.
Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, the Minimum Data Set of Anatomical Pathology Information System can be presented in two main categories: Clinical and non-clinical information, which include identity information, management information, insurance information, clinical information and the data related to the study of anatomiaca pathology samples.

Abstract
Background and Aim: Emergency medical services (EMS) staff’s attention level may be affected by various work conditions. This study aims to compare the beginning- and end-of-shift attention levels of Tehran’s pre-hospital emergency staff with those of Semnan Province.
Materials and Methods: This is a descriptive and cross-sectional research study conducted in 2013. In this study, 192 emergency medical technicians (EMT) of Tehran and Semnan Province participated. The research instrument was Bonnardel Attention Level Test. The participants’ attention level was assessed at 10 am and 5 am. The data were analyzed by chi-square test and independent samples t-test.
Results: At 10 am (arrival attention), the average rate of attention level of Tehran’s pre-hospital emergency staff was 0.49±0.25 and that of Semnan Province staff was 0.51±0.23. There was not a significant difference (p=0.58) at that time between the average rate of attention in these two groups. At 5 am (exit attention), however, the average attention level of Tehran’s pre-hospital emergency staff was 0.45±0.25, and of Semnan Province staff was 0.55±0.20. At this time, there was a statistically significant difference (P= 0.044) between the average rate of attention in these two groups.
Conclusion: The means of arrival and exit attention levels in pre-hospital emergency staffs were moderate. Besides, there was no significant difference between the arrival attention levels of the two groups. Therefore, in order to increase the attention level in both groups, it is suggested that the workload and the length of shifts should be reduced for pre-hospital emergency staffs, specially in Tehran.

Abstract
Background and Aim: CT scan as a medical imaging modality delivers high radiation dose to the patients. Since eye and thyroid are two radiosensitive organs in this study, those effective doses were evaluated in brain CT scan. Using TLD as dosimeter.
Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study was carried out in three selective hospitals in Rasht in September and October in year 2016.TLD was used as personal dosimeter. To measure the effective dose, TLDs were put on the patient’s eyes and thyroid and the mean effective dose was evaluated in brain CT scan. Results were analytical using SPSS software and Anova (P<0.05).
Results: The mean effective doses of eyes and thyroid in three hospitals with codes of H1, H2 and H3 were obtained as 2.66±2.04 mSv and 0.03±0.009 mSv, 1.80±1.11 mSv and 0.03±0.02 mSv, 1.94±0.95 mSv, 0.04±0.01 mSv, respectively. We found significant differences between effective doses of the eyes and thyroid in the three hospitals (p<0.05). Despite the difference in effective doses between right and left sides of eyes and thyroid, we didn't find any other significant differences.
Conclusion: The most important factor affecting patient radiation dose is the way CT scan examination is performed.

Abstract
Background and Aim: The efficiency and effectiveness of any organization depend greatly on proper and effective management and use of human resources. Due to the importance of activities and the motivation of personnel fighting against diseases, as well as the high share of personnel costs in total health expenditures, the use of appropriate methods to determine their workload is important.
Materials and Methods: The present research is a descriptive and applied study, conducted in two quantitative and qualitative dimensions. The research environment was the urban-rural health centers of Savadkuh health network. During the process of calculating the workload, the steps were: identifying activities, correcting and approving activities, determining the percentage of acceptable unemployment, calculating standard time, determining the number of repetitions, calculating work units, determining the workload, and determining the required manpower.
Results: Activities in the field of fighting against diseases were identified and organized in the form of 77 activities. By taking the frequency of each activity into account, the total time of these activities in one month was equal to 10273 work units. The main activities related to vaccine injection and registration of vaccinated specifications in relevant offices and forms included 137 and 115 work units, respectively.
Conclusion: Determining the workload of different health care fields by using this study method creates the potential to estimate the number of manpower required to give all predicted services, and has the potential to reduce the demand for surplus labor and increase employees’ tendency to give more services, if used in current structures.

Abstract
Background and Aim: Deep and sustainable learning requires a safe and healthy environment. Moreover, paying attention to the intertwined emotional, motivational, cognitive and social processes in the teaching-learning process is vital. Academic achievement motivation and self-regulated learning (SRL) are two important elements in this process that are influenced by the achievement emotions in the learning environment. Therefore, the aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of instructional design model based on control-value theory of achievement emotions (CVT), on academic achievement motivation and self-regulation learning.
Materials and Methods: The research was quantitative and performed by Nonequlment design control group. The statistical population included female second year high school students in Tehran in the academic year of 1997-98, who were selected by multi-stage cluster random sampling in two experimental and control groups. The experimental group was trained according to the instructional design model based on CVT theory and the control group did not receive this training method. The questionnaire of academic achievement motivation and self-regulated learning was administered to the experimental and control groups as pre-test and post-test before and after the implementation of the model. Data were analyzed by inferential and descriptive statistics using SPSS software and multivariate covariance.
Results: The results of univariate analysis of covariance of group effect on the scores of dependent variables show that there is a significant difference between the experimental and control groups in cognitive strategy (F=11/94, P>0/05, η2=0/14), metacognition strategy (F=56/06, P>0/05, η2=0/44), motivational beliefs (F=6/36, P>0/05, η2=0/08) and academic achievement motivation (F=10/69, P>0/05, η2 =0/13).
Conclusion: The result of this study show that the use of instructional design model based on CVT theory has a positive effect on cognitive strategies, metacognition strategies, motivational beliefs and learners' academic achievement motivation.

Abstract
Background and Aim: Diabetes Type II is a chronic metabolic disorder rising its prevalence worldwide. Self-care is the most important management strategy to control the disorder and its adverse effects. The aim of this study was to design and validate an assessment tool to determine the level of self-care of patients affected by Diabetes type II.
Materials and Methods: This study was a cross-sectional study. To conduct this study, based on reviewing the texts and reviewing the existing questionnaires, the proposed items were prepared and by eliminating and integrating similar items into a questionnaire in 4 areas related to diet, blood sugar monitoring, Physical activity, drug use was designed with 15 questions. Thirty patients with type 2 diabetes referred to the endocrinology clinic completed a questionnaire. The reliability of the questionnaire was assessed using Cronbach’s alpha and the validity of the questionnaire was assessed by content validity (CVR). Data were analyzed using SPSS software.
Results: The results showed that the mean and standard deviation of the age of the studied units was 52.4±12.51 years, of which 50% were female and the other 50% were male. 56% of them had type 2 diabetes for less than 5 years. Also, people with higher education had relatively better metabolic control in diabetes management and patients ‘answer to question 6 had the highest mean, which shows patients’ attention to blood sugar control. To determine the reliability of the questionnaire, Cronbach’s alpha coefficient for all questions was 0.773, with the omission of question 9, it was increased to 0.796. Only two validity questions were 0.66 and 0.16 which were excluded from the test. Pearson correlation coefficient was calculated for each question.
Conclusion: The results of this study showed that the questionnaire has the necessary validity and reliability. With this tool, appropriate advice can be provided to patients with type 2 diabetes in the field of self-care, including diet, medication, physical activity and blood sugar control to prevent the progression of the disease and its complications.

Abstract
Background and Aim: According to the report of the World Health Organization, overweight and chronic and psychological diseases caused by it have reached an alarming level in the world. Today, cognitive behavioral therapy as a specific method for controlling overweight teaches the audience how to identify and change inappropriate behavior patterns and destructive thoughts with distress that negatively affect their behavior and emotions. The purpose of this research was to provide a mobile-based application for overweight control with a cognitive-behavioral therapy approach.
Materials and Methods: This research was of applied-developmental type. In the first stage, by examining the available applications based on mobile and related to weight control and also Beck cognitive therapy protocol for weight loss, the capabilities of the application were identified and then based on a survey of experts, these capabilities were determined. Afterwards, the user interface of the application was designed and the necessary coding was done to use it. The database was then created using MySQL software and the application program was created using Flutter software and Dart programming language and was named CBTdiet. Finally, the usability of the application was evaluated by users using a standard QUIS questionnaire.
Results: Based on the entry and exit criteria, among the 247 identified applications, the capabilities of 17 applications were examined. Finally, according to the opinion of the experts, 21 capabilities, including the ability to send motivational messages to the audience and the ability to reward to achieve weight loss of one kilogram per week, were considered for the design of the application program. The application designed in this research was at a good level from the users’ point of view with an average of 7.99±1.1 and was able to obtain an acceptable level of satisfaction in the evaluation stage. The software’s overall capabilities section got the highest average score (8.12) and the screen section got the lowest average score (7.89) among all sections.
Conclusion: Based on the determined capabilities, a mobile-based application for controlling overweight was designed and created with a cognitive behavioral therapy approach, and it can be effective in overweight control by modifying lifestyle and changing destructive thoughts.
