Abstract

Background and Aim: Scientometric studies are one of the most effective methods of scientific evaluation in databases. The aim of this study was to investigate Breast cancer in Iran from 2000-2016.
Materials and Methods: This study has an applied approach and was conducted using scientometric indices. The st tistical population was the indexed articles related to Breast cancer between the years 2000 and 2016 by Iranian researchers at the Science Web site.
Results: During the period 2000-2016, researchers have published 2198 articles on Breast cancer that indicate a steady and steady increase in the number of studies conducted in this area. The results of the study showed that Qaderi is the most prolific researcher in the field of Breast cancer in terms of the number of articles in Iran, Ebrahimi and Montazeri are in the second and third positions respectively. The highest H-index belongs to Montazeri, Qaderi and Abraham, respectively. Researchers in the field of Breast cancer have collaborated with researchers from 65 countries and more with the United States and Canada. The most co-operation has been between researchers in Tehran and Tabriz. The analysis of the keywords used in Breast cancer research in the form of supragloss showed that Iran, Apoptosis and Polymorphism were the most frequent keywords in the studied works.
Conclusion: The upward trend in Breast cancer research indicates the growing importance of this area in Iran. Given the global growth of Breast cancer research and the importance of international research participation, Iranianresearchers should more and more engage in scientific collaboration with their counterparts abroad.

Abstract

Background and Aim: The purpose of this study was to analyze the co-occurrence of the terms of medical and laboratory equipment patents in the United States Patent and Trademark Office between 1984 and 2014.
Materials and Methods: This research was an applied study using scientometrics and co-word analyses. The statistical population of the present study included all patents of medical and laboratory equipment registered in the United States Patent and Trademark Office database between 1984 and 2014. As a result, a total of 13424 patents were retrieved.
Results: The results revealed that in terms of frequency, the keyword "Menstrual Fluid" and in terms of co-occurrence, two keywords (Menstrual Fluid and Magnetic Resonance Image Apparatus) were the most frequent ones in medical and laboratory equipment studies. The results of hierarchical clustering with "Ward's method" led to the formation of eight clusters in this area including the following: General Equipment, Rehabilitation Equipment, Dental Equipment, Therapeutic Equipment, Emergency Equipment, Laboratory Equipment, Diagnostic Equipment, and Medical Consumables.
Conclusion: The analysis of the co-occurrence of words revealed the scientific structure of medical and laboratory equipment well. Accordingly, the scientific issues were extracted and the relationship between them was discovered. The maps of co-word analysis showed several changes, sustainability of concepts, and terms related to this field of science.

Abstract

Background and Aim: One of the essential methods of evaluating academic libraries’ mobile websites is the usability analysis method; websites’ usability means their ease and simplicity of use. This study aims to evaluate the usability of the mobile website of the libraries of top medical universities in Iran. This study aims to evaluate the usability of mobile websites of the libraries of top Iranian universities of medical sciences.
Materials and Methods: This study was done by the descriptive-survey method. The study’s statistical population includes mobile websites of the libraries of the top 50 universities of medical sciences in Iran, which have gained the highest rank in universities’ webometrics ranking in January 2019. The tool used in this study was a checklist. Data analysis was performed by descriptive and analytical statistical methods and SPSS software.
Results: The data analysis showed that in terms of usability of the mobile websites of university libraries, Kerman, Birjand, and Tehran universities of medical sciences were in the first to third ranks with 89.23%, 84.62%, and 81.54%, respectively. Neishabour, Gonabad, and Semnan universities of medical sciences were the last ranks with 40%, 43.08%, and 44.62%., respectively. The evaluation of the research components showed that “system visibility status,” “assisting the user in identifying, detecting and compensating for errors,” and “guidance and documentation” were in the best situation, and components of “error prevention,” “flexibility and system efficiency,” and “User control and freedom” were in their worst condition.
Conclusion: Given the increasing influence and popularity of smart cell phones in the professional life of academics, it is necessary for administrators and designers of mobile websites of academic libraries to consider the applicability and effectiveness of mobile websites of the research community, taking into account the practical findings of the present study.

Abstract

Background and Aim: University libraries must meet certain criteria to enter fourth-generation libraries, one of which is the use of new technologies. The aim of this study was to identify the attitudes of library users of medical universities towards the components of augmented reality (AR) technology.
Materials and Methods: The research method was survey and type of study was applied. Quantitative research approach and research tool was a researcher-made questionnaire. The internal validity of the questionnaire was assessed through CVI and its reliability was estimated using ICC. Validity of the questionnaire was confirmed using the opinions of 10 experts in information science and AR; its reliability was obtained with Cronbach’s alpha correlation coefficient (0.96). Through the online questionnaire, data from users’ perspectives on the components of familiarity, features, application, advantages, opportunities and limitations were collected in the form of 5 Likert questions. Data analysis with SPSS 26 was used through independent t-test, ANOVA and Tukey to evaluate the status of AR components.
Results: Users’ familiarity with AR was 50.55%. 78.23% of the users agreed with AR in the libraries of medical universities. In general, the mean was 3.91 and the standard deviation was 0.63. The possibility of developing research activities, use of technology to enhance learning, advantage of attractiveness, and opportunity to develop a scientific educational program were mentioned as the most important items among other AR factors. One of the limitations of setting it up in university libraries was the lack of high-speed internet. The general attitude of users towards AR was at the desired level.
Conclusion: Library users at medical universities agreed with the facilities, opportunities and use of AR. The results showed that AR technology is practical and useful from the perspective of users in the libraries of Iranian medical universities. AR with user support, improving user activity, creating attractiveness, attracting audience, content creation according to various library resources, content gamification, knowledge sharing, content resource deprivation, based on the availability of technical facilities, an opportunity to develop Creates libraries of medical universities.
