322 Iranian wounded soldiers who were the victims of chemical bombardment by Iraqi forces, were admitted in Farabi Eye Hospital. The lesions of various parts of the eye, such as the lids, conjunctiva, cornea and other parts of the globe and their relation with the length of exposure and the patients’ symptoms were considered. Cutaneous, respiratory, gastrointestinal and hematologic control of the patients was of particular attention, and the healing time of ocular lesions and contribution of medical treatment to their improvement was studied as well. |
