عنوان فارسی چيستی اخلاق پزشکي؛ بايدها و نبايدها
چکیده فارسی مقاله معضلات اخلاقی حاصل از پيشرفت‌های تشخيصی و درمانی نوين در علم پزشکی، ضرورت پرداختن به اخلاق پزشکی را صد چندان کرده است. اخلاق پزشکی يک «علم» است، از اين‌رو، با روش‌ و معيار علمی سروکار دارد. لازمه‌ی محقق شدن اهداف هر علم تعريف دقيق و رفع ابهامات پيرامون آن است. با وجود تعريف‌های مختلف ارائه شده در ارتباط با علم اخلاق پزشکی هنوز پاره‌ای از مسائل هم‌چنان در هاله‌ای از ابهام مانده است. بخش مهمی از دانش ما، پاسخ به چيستی‌هاست و اين پاسخ چيزی جز تعريف نيست. تعاريف، قسمت عمده‌‌ی ادراکات ما را شامل می‌شوند و نمی‌توان از به‌کارگيری آن خودداری کرد. اين مقاله‌ی مروری حاصل يک پژوهش توصيفی است. برای جمع‌آوری اطلاعات از مطالعه‌ی کتب معتبر و جست‌وجو در منابع اينترنتی و مقالات مرتبط خارجی استفاده شد. اين نوشتار ضمن تأکيد بر لزوم تبيين تعريف علم و ويژگی‌های تعريف منطقی، برخی از تعاريف علم اخلاق پزشکی را ارزيابی کرده و با اشاره به نقاط ضعف موجود در آن‌ها، ضرورت ارائه‌ی تعريف منطقی از اين علم و ملاحظات لازم را متذکر می‌شود.

چکیده انگلیسی مقاله Moral dilemmas caused by modern diagnostic and therapeutic advances in medical science have increased the need to address medical ethics a hundredfold. Medical ethics is a "science", so the method needs scientific work. In order to achieve the objectives of any science, we need to define and resolve the ambiguities surrounding it. Notwithstanding the definitions presented in conjunction with the science of medical ethics, still some issues remain unclear about it.An important part of our knowledge consists of the answers to what things are, and that is nothing but definitions. Definitions comprise the bulk of our perceptions and therefore need to be employed.This review article is the result of a descriptive study. The data were collected through studying credible textbooks and searching internet resources and related articles. While emphasizing the need to clarify the definition of science and characteristics of logical definition, this paper evaluates some of the definitions of medical ethics and by showing their weak points, notes that there is a need for a logical definition of this science and the necessary consideration
