Abstract
In this research household herbal wastes transformed to compost by Eisenia foetida earth worm within 3 months. For this reason, first all herbal wastes were studied in term of Bacteria, parasites, heavy metals and herbal nutrient elements, namely Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P.) and potassium (K.).
Then, 3 samples of herbal wastes were selected from different points of compost pits with different dimensions, transported to laboratory, and were analysed. Finally, after compost processing within 3 months, sampling was repeated again and results showed raised herbal nutrient element and improvement ratio of C/N, from 29.5 up to 14.5 and substantial reduction in heavy metals, particularly chrome (Cr), Cadmium (Cd) and Lead (Pb) in riped compost.
In this experiment, Mean and S.D. of measured was criteria calculated by SPSS software and Mean & S.D. of initial herbal wastes and processed compost (Vermicompost) also compared by statistical Mann- Whitney. Staisdical test. The number of earthworms increased from 5000 – in the beginning of the experiment – fo 13000 during 3 months of compost processing.
Electric conductivity (EC) raised from 1813.33 µs/cn in the initial herbal wastes to 907.33 µs/cn in vermicompost. which shows less salinity in processed compost. It is reported that some salts came be removed by Eisenia foetida during compost processing.

Abstract
Background and Aim: Food insecurity is a major public health problem in developing and developed countries , underlying developmental and psychological problems , nutrient deficiencies and chronic diseases . The aim of this study was to determine food security status and factors associated with food insecurity in households with children 4-5 years old under coverage of urban health centers and health houses in Mehriz, Iran.
Materials and Methods : This cross-sectional study was conducted in 2013 on 500 households with children 4-5 years old under coverage of urban health centers and health houses in Mehriz, Iran. The subjects were selected by cluster sampling. To determine household food security, the USDA 18-item food security questionnaire was used. Economic and socio-cultural status were assessed using a general-information questionnaire. The data obtained were analyzed using the Chi-square and independent t-tests and multiple logistic regression.
Results: The prevalence of household food insecurity was 39.6% (food insecurity without hunger 23.2%, and moderate and severe food insecurity with hunger 15% and 1.4%, respectively). Food insecurity was negatively correlated with parental education, parental occupational, monthly household income and maternal height ( p <0.008) and positively correlated with maternal age and family size ( p <0.004) . Based on the results of multivariate logistic regression , father's occupation and education level were predictors of food insecurity .
Conclusion: The prevalence of food insecurity in the population studied is high. Based on the results of this study, promotion of parental education, family job security and improved economic status, and control of family size are essential measures that should taken to improve household food security.

Abstract
Background and Aim: Family female heads are one of the most vulnerable groups in the society and empowering them is essential. This research was a systematic study to design and develop a model of educational needs of female heads in the female-headed households.
Materials and Methods: This study was a qualitative applied research of a research synthetic type conducted using content-analysis and meta-analysis. The statistical population included all the relevant works published in Persian or English between 2012 and 2021 available in four reliable databases, namely, ERIC, Science Direct, PubMed and Google Scholar. Using the keywords "education of women-headed households, women's empowerment, women-headed households, and skills of women-headed households" and based on the inclusion criteria, initially 140 scientific articles were identified and finally, based on the exclusion criteria, 47 articles were selected for the final analysis. The Software MAXQDA 18 was used for the qualitative analysis of the articles.
Results: Analysis of the data obtained showed the educational needs of women-headed households as the main theme to consist of four subthemes including "knowledge and skills of desirable sexual orientation", "knowledge and skills of raising children", "knowledge and skills of occupation" and "individual and social development and empowerment”. Based on meta-analysis out of the four main themes 22 themes were extracted and a model was designed for educating female-headed households.
Conclusion: Considering that the educational needs of female-headed households have been identified, it is recommended that educational courses be designed in accordance with their educational needs.

Abstract
Background and Aim: The social health of people is a phenomennon that can play an essential role in the development of the society. A question is: to what extent has the Imam Khomeini Relief Committee (IKRC), an organization established at the beginning of the Iranian Islamic revolution to deliver services and help and empower the poor people to get them out of poverty, been successful in affecting the social health of the household female heads? This study aimed to answer this question.
Materials and Methods: This research was conducted with a quantitative and survey approach, including 221 female heads of households under coverage of IKRC in Shiraz, Iran selected by the multi-stage cluster sampling method. The data collection tool was a questionnaire.
Results: The findings showed that the social health of the household female heads under coverage of IKRC and all its components were higher than the average level.
Conclusion: Based on the findings it can be concluded that the educational, health and financial
services provided by the Imam Khomeini Relief Committee could not have influenced significantly the social health of the service-seekers, although they could have affected some aspects of their lives. It is, thus, essential that the Committee revise the contents and the form of services delivered to female heads of households to promote their social health.
